Should account wide Level Up Advisor rewards be awarded retroactively?

Anyone still wanting these to be retroactive, please point out the reward that is just make-or-break, please. Because I don't see it.
You could pretty much guarantee it's for those 3 crown crates (ignoring the 15+ free we've already received to date), and not for the free crown-store food and the L16 glyphs.

Or at least I'd hope it's that way around.

Let's see we have been awarded multiple crown crates, pets, costumes and mounts for just logging in through the years.
Who is to say they won't give a free storage chest out at some point.
I think jealous greed is strong here.

    1. Buy the extra slot.
    2. Make one more character, one time.
    3. Profit.

I love doing mages guild and skyshards all over again!
Which has exactly nothing to do with Level-Up-Advisor rewards.

If that's all you're after, you don't have to do any of those things.

In my case I'd have to delete one fully maxed character, only to re level it and get skyshards + mages guild all over again. I don't know about you but I can't play a character without skill points andthe mages guild benefits are huge.
    @Runschei, no, you don't.

You can buy another slot, or you can do without the mediocre rewards. Again, if you're just after the level up rewards, skillpoints and Guild lines are absolutely not necessary.

They're making the 15th slot available just for this purpose. If you did have to choose between nuking an alt and getting a 10k brown horse, you might actually have a legitimate complaint.
    1. Crown cost of the extra slot.
    2. <50 hours, with no rush whatsoever, if you level at super-eventual-casual mode.

Well. I am deleting a currently fully functioning character with gear and skills and everything, only to get these rewards while leveling this exact character all over again to make him fully functioning.
    Then that's on you.

    Buy. Another. Slot.

Slots are expensive. Is it really worth it to spend that much on a slot when a character can be deleted and recreated for free?
Not sure if serious or sarcastic?

My point being, there is a choice (three, in fact). If the time allotted to an existing character is worth less than the rewards, then delete it is.

If it's not, and you don't currently have the funds for another slot, wait till later or do without the rewards.

If you have the $ and want to save existing characters, buy a slot.

I'm guessing there are ways to earn enough, even as a student, if it's really something you're interested in.

EDIT: On a side note, I'm a little disappointed no one has tried to turn this into a P2W argument yet...?

Yes, I would like them to be, but honestly I'm not that bothered. Barring the Crown Crates, the rewards are only really good for new players, and it's an opportunity for me to try out another character I haven't played yet. I'm thinking Khajiit Stamblade or Breton Magblade, maybe Redguard Stamplar?

With twin baby boys to look after, a bit of casual leveling to unwind might be nice.

You can get 20k gold in an hour or so by thieving - 8 toons, I assume at least one of them has the Blade of Woe. Even quicker if you do loops through a Vvardenfell town, launder and sell any motifs. Much faster than levelling 3-50.

How many played hours would you lose deleting one character for 20k gold, some crown poisons, and a shoulder tattoo?

How much extra money could you earn IRL with that same amount of hours? Enough to buy an additional slot, I'm guessing?

I know my stealing, I do 40K pr char daily if I want to. I am not saying I need those 20K and rely on them, they would just be nice. Free 20K isn't something you decline now is it? Personally I would just donate to guild bank or spend it on housing.

Would be losing about 168 hours on that character, and would take me about 4-5h to get it to max level, not mages guild and skyshards. And how much money I could earn after 5+ hours? First I would have to get a job in my area, and believe me I have tried, but no jobs are available in, around or nearby my town.

And yeah, maybe I would get crown poisons and a shoulder tattoo (that I can't show because vampirism) but hey, I could turn those poisons in and get more gems so I can get something I actually found interesting from the crates.

It is ok, if we get new character slot. I like these tricky solutions = so we are not excluded.
To me: They give me one more reason to do a new character.
    To them: Players play more.

These solutions are more friendly like lvl cap raise lvl 200 etc.

I’m glad to see them add these rewards to the game. Most of us who have played a while already have plenty of mounts and costumes and pets. I don’t feel like anything has been taken away from me just because they are adding features that would’ve been nice to have when I was a new player.

I do think it would be a nice gesture of goodwill to the existing player base if they would give everyone an additional character slot token for free so those who wish to try out the new system didn’t have to pay to do it.

A poll really was not needed. However, placing the thread in the correct forum section would have been best. It is a PTS issue you bring up and there is a forum section specific to the PTS.

That is, if you are interested in providing PTS feedback vs just creating a poll.

No, its quite common for games to give new players bonuses, rewards, and other benefits that players who have been around for ages dont get. It helps new blood come into older games as many players have the mentality that if they come into a game to late they will be to far behind or the game is to close to the end of its life.

And everyone can level up a new character, which im sure a vet character can do in a week or so. So its not that big of a deal.

What market? The mats market? Green and Blue mats are already cheap, as are runes that are not Kuta or Hakeijo. The total gold is less than what I make doing my daily Pledges and selling the loot. None of the awards will have any significant effect on the market.
