What the title said...literally...after you finish ur achivs and quests... there is no actual reason to go back there...its quite sad to see so much wasted effort,work and time...I really hate it in other mmos when most zones become abandoned completely due to the lack of need...I thought that will change in ESO but right now I feel that nothing is different...sure there are people in each dlc and so on but my point is that after they finish they don't have a reason to go back there...we need a reason...ZoS should think about this and idk get some idea...ask around...at some point I see a game with probably what...50 dlc areas and only a handful actually used while the rest will be ignored...I would love to see this matter addressed...I wonder what other people feel about it?

    If you count endgame PvE achievements, I haven't technically 100%ed any DLC besides Orsinium, and I play a fair amount.

    They aren't a 1 month experience unless you are only counting "story" type quests/achievements...and in that case, the new dungeon DLCs are more like 1 day experiences.

    They're definitely not a 1 month experience for me. Firstly because I play quite slowly, I like to take my time to explore every corner of the maps as I'm going along, and talk to all the NPCs and things so it takes me quite a while to finish an area.

    But also I have 6 characters I'm aiming to do everything on (or almost everything, some skip things like joining the Dark Brotherhood), so I'll eventually do that 6 times over. And on top of that there's achievements, any items unique to that area or easier to find there, and I like to mix up where I go to gather materials or steal, often picking maps I feel like I've not been to in a while.

    @Danikat I see your point...but I am 1 of the players who only play on 1 character...since the beginning...I have never been fond of alts and I hate to repeat the same thing again...maybe I would if there would had been a relevant turn of events( no a yes or no tipe of quest with no overall impact its not worth for me), some world events would be cool or something like that...to come to people attention even if they finished...even you...after you finish your alts...will you go back there?

    Not at all. I thoroughly enjoy farming the bosses and delve dailies for motifs to add to my collection or sell every day. It's the kind of thing I love in mmos and I'm glad they added it in their dlc's. Now I'd like to see some kind of currency system for pve outside of crafting

    No, I see them as part of the game adn the game would few much smaller if I did not have access to them. I too have several toons and it takes me forever to get through the DLC.

    If you prefer to only complete content once, then yes, the DLC are going to be a one month one-and-done experience. So will most of the base game, honestly. Yes, there are repeatable dailies you can do that reward you for returning to the DLC areas, but if you hate to repeat the same thing again, those aren't going to hold your interest.

    People can have plenty of reason to go back to a DLC. Orsinium has the Maelstrom Arena, Imperial City has the sewers and the actual city, Shadows of the Hist and Horns of the Reach are both dungeon-only DLCs and people can go back there for skins and motifs, the Thieve's Guild has heists, the Dark Brotherhood has dailies. All of the DLCs have motifs to go after, either for personal use or selling.

    I agree only at maelsatrom and DLC dungs as we have just pledges for them, thats all even if you have done everu achiev from them

    rest of dlc maps are even less than 1 week of playing if you have time and only thing for what you still playing for month are achievements needed to do daily quest 30 times and I was doing it only to avhievs even heist etc because its just nonsense, no reason and just time waster ig you have nothing more better to do as for me because its just boring after all

    I play ESO super casually, so the base content is more than enough for me. I don't do ESO+ even though the crafting bag is awesome, and the only extra content I have is Morrowind for the Warden class; I have none of the DLC's. Knowing I can come back any time and pick up where I last left off is a nice touch, I'm okay with what I have. I will drop cash on crowns when on sale, I don't mind helping a little just not subbing if I don't play consistently month to month. At most its like I play 4-6 weeks at a time then 3-5 months hiatus before I come back.

    ZOS gives (some of) us a reason: hiding motifs behind dungeon or daily content. I STILL haven't finished my Minotaur/Order of the Hour motifs and I was doing both these dailies on at least 2 alts every day for awhile. Nowadays, Gold Coast is pretty dead so it takes awhile to find a group so I often don't bother trying since there are so many other dailies that ALSO have motifs. I like questing and tend to take my time through zones, but feel I don't have time to quest anymore if I want to do the dailies I need to turn in for achievements (like CWC slag town and bursar quests) and tiny percent chance of earning a motif.

    I'd like to see the areas populated, but not the way ZOS currently tries to handle it by adding yet another thing to grind with abysmal drop rates.

    To answer your question: I dont think anyone would mind more things to do in various zones. Personally i would like to see random oblivion gates pop up that have to be closed. Smaller solo gates and larger gates that require a team effort. The gates move around and when you close one another one reappears. I wouldnt want them to show on the map. You have to find them, make it a challenge. Inside the gates could be a random generation of the layout. So each one feels different. That would be awesome, but likely not possible.

    That said:
    Speaking in general about zones i have completed.
    * You have a house there.
    * Guild stores.
    * The 3 Ds: Delves, Dolmens, and Dungeons.
    * World Bosses
    * Change of scenery while gathering, thieving, murdering.

    The point is mute anyway as i have ESO plus and will keep it for as long as i play because i hate managing inventory and having storage toons, so i will have access to the content as long as i play.

    What i dont get is why only one character? That is like having one pair of clothes. Even on my stamblade the difference between using daggers and bow is like a completely different experience. I couldnt imagine only having one character i had to play ALL the time. That would get boring fast. Doing content with different characters is a new experience, imo. I mean the stories and quests are the same but how you accomplish things is usually different. And it requires different strategies. Some content is harder on some characters than others meaning different parts of the game are challenging depending on what you are playing.

    You are definitely missing out on a lot of experiences the game has to offer by playing only one character. If you hate repeating things then MMOs are probably not the best place for you as they involve a lot of repeat grinding and ESO is one of the less grindy MMOs.

    It depends how narrowly someone does the DLCs. Besides, there is more to the game that is easily and worth to repeat depending one ones interest. PvP, Trials, dungeons and that does not even include most achievements.

    I'm still doing Clockwork City and Vvardenfell dailies every day, since there's still motifs, valuable gear, and furnishing recipes to collect, and I like both environments. I do the other dailies and repeatables whenever I feel like it, so there's always content for me to do.

    I get a little bored between the big DLC releases, and ZOS could add a lot more varied overland content through the guild dailies.

    Yea, probably about a month worth of stuff to chew on there. I'm not really sure that is a waste though. You do stuff, it is done. A bigger waste might be most of the dungeon packs. They make the things so long and give them a crazy Hodor mode that the rewards you care about are behind that nobody much does them. Battlegrounds seems similarly lacking in anybody doing them relative to the amount of effort they keep putting into making new modes.

    For what it is worth, they did put dailies in the new areas, there is just only so much play time people are going to get out of relatively small new play areas. Beyond that efforts to keep people going will amount only to grinding things like low RNG motifs and I think you loose more players by creating frustrating grinds than you retain.
    I am currently worried for the future of ESO. Population seems like it is in free fall and the cancellation of the North America in-person gathering feels very much like pulling the plug. Kudos on fixing the in-game economy though. Clearly whatever gold shenanigans were happening the last couple years are fixed.

    10+ hours for a straight grind, in my experience. Main Quest only, anyway, assuming a high DPS character who can melt all mobs. Also not counting achievements, which will take you a lot longer. However, I do think that to "complete" a DLC, you should do all the quests once, so that would include dailies like Kvatch Arena but not include dailies like "fetch 5 ornate items" which have no actual content.

    Clockwork City you might be able to sweep through the main questline in 3-5 hours, doing no other side quests. That's probably about how long it took my DPS character who rushed through it. That's not the entire zone, of course, so doing ALL the quests for the achievements brings it closer to 10.

    Imperial City's questline is probably 10 hours, because you have to do each district, then return to the sewers to turn in the quests (could be sped up by sigils of Imperial retreat for a pure speedrun, I suppose). Then after you've cleared the district, there's an additional short quest there, but again you have to go back to the sewer base to turn it in. Plus the dungeons on normal, vet, and vetHM (WGT finishes out the Main Quest of IC, so yeah, it counts as MQ content). I completed IC over the course of several days on a dead campaign, so factor in riding time from the gates and time for PVP if enemy players are present.

    Thieves Guild and Dark Brotherhood both feature quests locked behind grinding. So you do have to account for the Tip Board and the Black Book quests to grind for TG and DB levels so you can do the quests. Both easily hit 10 hours on the main quest, then add the other quests in the zone. Not counting the grinding, you could probably do the TG and DB main quest in about 3-5 hours.

    Orsinium is the largest DLC and the one most packed with content. The Main Quest is quite lengthy, including a section where you have to quest for three orc clans. This DLC is the size and scope of a base-game zone and it shows in the length of time it takes to clear the zone, get all the trophies, and unlock those costumes. The main quest alone easily hits 10 hours of playtime.

    They certainly could add something to future DLC to give them more replayability, imo imperial city is the one that has the most because of the pvp elements tied to it, even if most of the times it's empty(atleast on sotha). It took me 5 days to finish every main and side quest in IC ,Wrothgar, Hew's Bane, The Gold Coast and CWC and also completed most of the achievements except the ones tied to 12 man trials, fishing, daily timegated stuff and some of the heist/sacrament ones.

    No dolmens in the DLC areas because they mostly happen after the base game in terms of time frame. Morrowind can happen whenever but Molag Bal doesn't mess with Vivec (except when he messes with Vivec, but not like that.) Clockwork City isn't actually a part of Nirn anyway.
