Patch notes indicate a buff. ZoS implements an undocumented nerf to counterbalance said buff.
It's just how ZoS rolls.
JoystonI didn't want to say it, because I don't want to insult anyone.
But yes, unannounced nerfs are scarily common

I always wanted this to be an ultimate worthy of 200 cost. But looks like still a no go.
And the AoE version is a huge DPS loss. Loss a quarter of the duration for three little AoE ticks. Zos please buff
Sounds like it. Except the good morph wasn’t even good to begin with, and the whole thing was phrased as an enormous buff when in truth it’s barely going to be noticeable.Ah so this is another case of the good old "lets nerf the somewhat decent morph to make the bad morph more attractive" ...

Let’s put it like this: “This will be a buff if you are at 720CP.”
Not just bad for non-CP, but mainly focusing on lowbie players who aren’t really using BiS or optimized builds yet. The players who are super low CP and want to use the Storm Atro Ult because it’s cool and seems effective. It’s getting a massive nerf for them, so if it helped them a lot before, it really won’t as much now.Sounds like it. This is especialy bad considering atro in non CP environments, its just utter trash there now.

No,no..seriously tho. Does the aoe-atronach really only have a 6m radius and ticks 3 times over the entire duration? That seems extremely weak imo...no?
I wouldn't say "stealth nerfed" or bring up any conspiracy theories about how ZOS nerfed the Storm Atronach, I'll just say that its most likely bugged on the PTS, just like 10000000 other things.
And don't expect a damage increase of 34%. CP work pretty weirdly with all other % multipliers and even the different CP stars themselves also fuction in that same weird way. For example Minor Slayer only gives you about 3.6% more damage, same goes for a Greatsword. So yeah, don't ever trust tooltips that have a % in them, no more.

Haven't they always been very communicative when it comes to PTS bug threads ? According to the silence, we may expect it to be intended this wayunnecessary.
ZOS will only stop nerfing sorcs when they reach the magicaDK 1.6 kind of unplayable.
Remember this is sorc, they don't get nerfs, therefore this must be a bug.

Weren't the Templar nerfs just a side effect of the way the new CP system calculations are done? Like with the sweeps and the beam? At least I thought that's that what it was, I could be wrong.
Maybe rename the title for something more visible and appealing to ZoS ?
like : [Bug report] Atronach new scaling is a HUGE damage NERF.
