BRB gonna go don some full plate before going for a nice relaxing dip in the river. Context is a spook and full plate is the only clothing anyone can wear ever.

It’s because characters using magicka would naturally use wards to protect themselves. They don’t need to be covered in armor.
The “common sense” argument is flawed. While I’d never want to see some of the stupidly skimpy outfits the Skyrim modders come up with, the stuff people sometimes complain about in this game works for any sorcerer-type character.

True, but it's not an appealing look to bleed all over the place.lordrichter wrote: »PelinalWhitestrake wrote: »
Not to fear, those wounds are not fatal in ESO.

I do.
But even those who keep their helmet hidden.. still look more believable to me than those in an evening dress or an outfit that looks like something proper for a beach or house party.
Still, I think it's all personal preference.I am not going to argue with that. Also it's an ever present discussion: TES Lore wise VS general conventions and "poetic justice" accepted in MMO{s}..not just TES but in general.

Imagine a High Elf sorceress from the ESO cinematic trailer going into battle at that dolmen... wearing some mini-skirt, something that looks like bra, and sandals? Yeah... I'd totally "buy" that scenario LOL

Maybe some girls? lol I know plenty of chicks... who play this game... who love this ***, myself included and Im no spring chicken either. Its just a costume, hell Mazzatun is pretty skimpy and its actual armor - cant wait to buy it eventually. Not every woman feels the need to cover herself up, also they are just characters - pixels man, they are just pixels! Let them be freeeeee

The girls need a break, tonight we're gonna take
The chance to get out on the town
We don't need romance, we only wanna dance
We're gonna let our hair hang down
I actually go into town, find a room or dark alley, lol, and change into a costume at times. Im just wierd like that tho.

So a not so short skirt in ESO goes against common sense? Wow. Use of the term common sense when dealing with minor appearance choices in an MMORPG. That makes a lot of common sense.
I like to get immersed in this game, you know. So if I think whether I'd go into battle wearing simply swimming suit or wearing an armour to SURVIVE, I choose armour. But yeah, it's MMO game, just a game... so, I guess, you can run around naked with a stick up your a*rse , whistle in one hand and bottle in another... if you want to... be my guest...

Personally hold distaste for the sentiment that we are 'about' particular fashion decisions,
and that skimpy clothing exists to cater to the male fantasy complex
it reinforces the sentiment that the female body is simply only ever exposed to be put on display for men
and that a woman cannot wear something 'fun' without it being about appealing to men, rather than for her own enjoyment
We need some men's shirts + short skirt comboshttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZJL4UGSbeFg

A new dawn is upon us, now it's SJWs and not "misogynist" guys who defend skimpy attire! XD

What i am trying to talk about here, is that women in Tamriel have right for protective wear that prevents injury and possibly death in battle with swords and in terms of reasonable fantasy realism,
