I like women with less clothing but please just keep the ESO like TES should be, reasonable armor that actually looks like it can protect the player.

I don't mind this sort of "look" (and I am TOTALLY opposed to "bewbs and bums" armor for common sense reason).

Lot of folk play this game and it's nice to have options.

Actually, that is not how the Outfit system works. We can already override the armor with costumes.

That’s exactly how the Outfit System works actually. Your costume can override your armor and your Outfit, while your Outfit overrides your Armor look. So you can hide heavy armor behind an Outfit of Light Armor.

Though why it would matter to see what type of armor someone is wearing is lost to me. This hasn’t mattered since the Crown Store came out.

I read somewhere, that one can use costumes and motifs in making an outfit and even if outfit system does not support costumes, the costume slot will overwrite any armor looks so its still the same. I dont mind options but as the world is allready full of skimpy nonsense MMO's, i dont think ESO will need to follow on that path.

If i want to see skimpy, i play WOW or AION.

It’s literally only the second outfit that looks like this, and it’s not even that bad. The free Nordic Bather’s Towel is worse.

From what I’ve seen, not many people even use these outfits regularly.

The ones shown when you login, the eggsister something was the other and the other i dont remember, then there is also the "jogging suit" or what was it.

I admit that theres not much skimpy options but its a short way to make a game armor look like non TES stuff. I also admit, that i dont have anything against people wearing light armor outfit over heavy armor but these skimpy things just dont feel like TES.

Maybe i should not mind this but i just wish that ESO stays in clothing that makes some sense as something an adventurer wears.

I would like to see more armor thats designed in similar way than basic level 1-15 racial armors, rustic, worn looking armor that makes sense in a world like Tamriel.

Well, we’ve never had an Elder Scrolls game in Black Marsh or Valenwood (the other skimpy outfit was the Climber one for Wood Elves).

So this is really our first time seeing traditional Bosmer or Argonian outfits.

Costume =/= armor. When you go to RP at an inn, you're not likely worried about sudden front line combat.

Well, im not the only player so why not, be skimpy if you wish. I just dont understand why would someone go to dangerous situations in an near underwear clothing :P

This though, has nothing to do with Bosmer/Argonian lore, it has to do with fact that women in skimpy clothes sell good to small boys ;)

And maybe some girls but i think women are more about stuff that makes sense unlike small boys :D

This is incorrect. You can only use motifs to create outfits.

    Costumes override your entire outfit.

    Duh. To distract the enemy.

Also, everyone knows that in any given fantasy setting, the less skin that female armor covers, the more protection it provides. The opposite is true of males, of course.

For me..it just looks too bizarre and out of place when it comes to TES Lore wise.
Imagine a High Elf sorceress from the ESO cinematic trailer going into battle at that dolmen... wearing some mini-skirt, something that looks like bra, and sandals? Yeah... I'd totally "buy" that scenario LOL

    And..
    - High Elf SorcMag dps [It's quite possible his daddy was a Nord.]

    Hmmm....

Anyway. Apparently something turning to MMO means, that established clothing code seen in other games can be thrown away because skimpy sells.

Its not like single player games where one can mod skimpy in if one wishes, that does not hurt anyone but in MMO, all sorts of people play so maybe there is a mdway between that could please a bit of both. Then again a toggle to hide other players outfits or costumes would go a long way to please everyone as well. If saomeone like me thinks, that the skimpy in TES makes no sense, i could just turn off the skimpy and see the armor that makes sense or at least some sense.

Did you miss the wood elf costumes which have been in the game for at least a year? (Doeskin Chamois and Graht-climbers Active wear.) Those are very similar - a crop top and a short skirt. So at the very least your complain is coming extremely late.

But also I disagree that everything our characters wear needs to look like armour. Think about real life - do you wear the same things all the time, no matter what you're doing? Would you go to a wedding in the same clothes you wear when fixing a car? Would you go to the beach in either of those outfits? Of course not.

It's the same for my characters. They have armour they wear when they're likely to need it - when they're roaming the wilderness or doing quests or fighting their way though delves and dungeons. But they also have comfortable, casual clothes they wear when they're in town, and fancy clothes they wear for special occasions.

And for some of my characters, in the right circumstances, comfortable clothes means something fairly minimal which doesn't restrict them or get in the way. This costume is perfect for that.
