Retreating Maneuver Bugged

This is what happens in combat: I cast retreating maneuver and then pop volatile armor but it remains in affect. (Supposed to cancel when a spell is used)
In combat: cast retreating maneuver use a bow light attack/ weapon ability(NOT a spell) and it removes itself.
This is very frustrating.

✭✭I guess that's partially because of a misconception you have shown in your initial post. ESO does not make a difference between "spell" and "ability". Your weapon ability is a spell and is supposed to cancel maneuvre.
I am also quite convinced that light/heavy attacks are supposed to cancel maneuvre, but not sure.
The only true bug you have pointed out is that volatile armor does not cancel it. But here, I assume that you are talking about precast volatile, and casting out of combat does not cancel maneuvre.
All of this makes me think that you are snared because you actually cancelled maneuvre, seeing that you very much misunderstood its intended mechanic. So that bug is also not a bug.Edited by Leandor on January 14, 2018 1:09PM1 -

You can act like that all you want. But the problem stands: casting a weapon ability should not remove retreating maneuver. Casting a spell removes it. a light bow attack should not.1 -

✭✭Retreating maneuvers are removed when you affect others. As the tooltip exactly says: "The effect ends if you cast any spell on an enemy or ally"
All abilities are spells. Light Attacking someone is affecting them by damage. Casting volatile armor is not affecting anyone, but if they attack you and the volatile armor damages them, it should remove it.
I would recommend you to get more familiar with mechanics. Ability and spell are interchangable terms in this game. And under term ability falls everything (or nearly everything) in the game including weapon attack, NPC attacks, monster attacks, enchantments, procs, ...Edited by SodanTok on January 18, 2018 9:53AM2 -

Yamakaziing✭✭✭Lmao you obviously don't see how pointless off a skill it is then. It's a skill that is used with just an add on to increase your mount speed. Or pop it once and run away from a fight. I bet you don't even use it and your moaning on this thread because you simply you don't want people to be immune to your immobilizations for more than 5 seconds0
