400k? Way to hyperbole. That's literally four times the amount I got it to. (I'm the poster of the other topic he mentioned)

While it's true the justice system is so laughably ineffective, I don't want it to be even more of an inconvenience when Black Market Mogul requires such an obscene amount of fencing to get a damn dye. And to answer your question, I got my bounty that high by going to a certain caravan full of gamblers you can pickpocket and kill. By the time I had gotten my bounty to 100k, I pocketed enough stolen items for two full days of 140 fences, perhaps more, due to the way the same items tend to drop and stack.

Why did someone literally say they had a 400K bounty then? If it's hyperbole blame the poster of THAT thread, not me

It's fine..it's notbthatblucrative to be more punishing than it already is. It's well balanced.

If you increase punishment than the rewards need to be increased to make it worthwhile.

ZOS already considered adding that to the game ages ago with the Enforcers system. They gave us Dueling instead and cancelled their plans to allow players to take missions to hunt down high bounty criminals ala Star Wars bounty hunter system.

I know but it doesnt change the fact that the justice system is a joke and this system wether you like it or not will add more depth and meaningful gameplay to ESO.

Its not like you would be forced to pvp in this system.. a 25k bounty is hard to rack up if you are playing with some level of caution.

ZOS already considered adding bounties when designing the Thieves Guild additions to the justice system. The playerbase widely panned it. ZOS couldn't figure out how to do it in a way that wouldn't amount to griefing. If you want an idea about how the average PVE player feels about having their PVE activities interrupted by PVP, do take a look at the way the PVE community views the Imperial City.

Wow, it really bothers some people that I can steal, rob, and murder while playing the Thieves Guild and Drak Brotherhood content I paid for and they can't do anything to interfere with my playtime, doesn't it?

Lol I know they scrapped the system dude..

Doesnt change what I'm saying or your saying. If pve'ers want the justice system to remain bland and boring then so be it.. murder farm to your hearts content.

Sucks that content has no real danger tied into it. I mean what kind of theif or db assassin racks up that high of a bounty... lol it promotes mindless gameplay because the consequences are a joke.

Yes. Most PVE'ers don't want their PVE content disrupted by PVP. That's obvious in the reaction to both Justice system bounties and the Imperial City. Plenty of PVPers on the other hand love to suggest this sort of system - they thrive on PVE victims, exactly the sort of system in IC that most PVEers prefer to avoid.

You can call it "bland and boring" if you like. I'll call it "getting to decide when I get ganked or not". In Cyrodiil or IC, I'm fine with getting ganked. That comes with the territory. If ZOS brought ganking into the Justice system, I'd start building the sort of PVP build that's a nasty surprise to gankers, and we'll see how long your "For Justice!" thrills last once you can't pick on just PVEers.

My point is that the players who want the Justice system to not include non-consenual PVP vastly outnumber those of you who keep begging for it. ZOS already determined that and ZOS keeps encouraging the murder-farm.

Whine and complain all you want. I'll keep playing the DLC content I bought, robbing and murdering NPCs, hiding from guards, using my counterfeit pardons, selling my stolen loot, and having fun. Because I'm playing the game as ZOS designed and implemented it.

Except it wouldnt be forced.. youd have to literally be a *** criminal to be engaged in the pvp component of it. I dont care about picking on or ganking pve players. Just killing people who are treating the system like a joke because it is one. In my eyes its only improves the depth of the justice system. I could care less about killing noobs like yourself who are afraid of gettin ganked. Not to say I wouldnt enjoy it.

In all likelihood, that would be exactly who'd get bounties over 25k - trolls waiting to turn the tables on the "For Justice!" people because everyone else will go deal with their bounties at 20k. Honestly, you'll have a better chance of finding PVP with random players by spamming duel requests at people waiting for their Undaunted queue to pop.

You mentioned my thread specifically in the OP, so you were talking about mine, and I said my bounty was 100k.

Having read your other responses to this thread, i can conclude that you have an unhealthy obsession with game mechanics that literally couldn't have less relevance to you. You are also completely incapable of making a rational argument without exceptional hyperbole and getting ridiculously offended and combative at everyone who even slightly disagrees with you.

Not sure whether "guts" is the reason. I think it's more to do with knowing what their players want or don't. I can see a "serious" justice system in some other games but this one, not really.

I see crime as another adjunct to the game, something that folks who are of a mind to play a sneaky rogue or assassin can do along with questing, PvPing, crafting etc. This game is not hardcore and I think that is what guides the devs.

Yeah the justice system is a joke. If people are getting +100,000 gold bounties I should be able to hunt them for a small gold reward. They are obviously harming tamriel on a massive scale and shouldnt be allowed to run rampant and then log off to log back on a few hours later and do it all again. Its brainless bland gameplay that only rewards the abuser and encourages people to commit crime on a wide scale. Not to mention its a little excessive to be able to murder farm entire towns.. what kind of image does that give to other players playing the game..

You cant tell me it wouldnt be cool to see some jackass murdering farming some town get absolutely rekt by a nightblade looking to claim the bounty. That would be sweet and add some much neede spice to such a bland system.

That is a great idea, but what about people who Auto decline PvP combat? It wouldn't work then. On the other side to make it worthwhile for the person to want to not decline Auto Decline combat then if the theif or person with the bounty wins the combat, he takes everything from you and when you resurrect you loose EVERYTHING, you resurrect with only your undies on.

There would be no declining pvp combat at a certain threshold you would pass on the justice system. Say after a bounty of 25k you would become a bounty target that others could come and claim by killing you. Dont want to be engaged in PvP combat? Be a better a theif or murderer and dont get your bounty to that point.

If the bounty is claimed successfully then depending on the size of the bounty the bounty hunter will be rewarded with things like transmutation crystals and gold. If the bounty hunter loses the person with the bounty would have their bounty dropped by a certain percentage based on how high there bounty was and also be rewarded with a period of exemption from other hunters... can be called the feared outlaw buff or something which allows you to basically treat the justice system like it is treated now.[/quote]

Some good points here. I would say the person trying to claim the bounty needs to loose everything. Otherwise it's just like logging off and waiting for your bounty to decrease. It becomes a joke as the original poster claims. Trying to claim a bounty without loosing anything. Where is the challenge in that? I am not saying you are wrong, just giving my opinion like everyone else. Great points made though.

You started the attack for putting people down because they liked to play a certain way. You want people to leave you alone? Then why do you go onto another thread and tell there bounty saying basically it was good what he got.

Don't start the negative comments. Don't put people down for having a differing opinion than you and people will not try to prove their point so they don't feel slighted because of your comments. Please look in the mirror first and stop blaming people for the actions you have started.

    Nah it's fine
I have said my peace. :) I am out. The original poster thinks we are making attacks against him but all we are doing is giving our opinions. Since he feels we are attacking him, I will bow out.

I really hope the orignal poster has a great weekend and let's have fun in ESO. :D

I give up, you guys win, just leave me alone.

That's not how forums work bud, you created the monster, time to face the music!

So it's okay for you guys to attack me for having an opinion?
What are you gaining by grieving me? I didn't do anything to you, so leave me THE *** ALONE!

I did not attack your opinion. Merely pointed out inaccurate information that lead to a huge exaggeration you were using to partially base your suggestion and poll on. Nothing more than that.
