Darcy enjoys templars more than sorcerers and plays them much more often. She surely plays them better as well.

But each time she DOES play her sorcerer, she tells me how much more damage she does.

The class is dead. But the real question is... Why is nobody giving a ***?

I've been away from the game because I am a Templar player and I do not enjoy other classes as much and so I thought: let's not rage about it anymore, they messed it up, some months and it'll come back.

Well, it didn't happen. It is ridiculous. Nobody cares.

    Thanks for reading, Goodbye.

there is lots of way to play them all i will say is check the passive of a templar, my healer can do over 100k hps and 20k dps

I´m just afraid of all QQ`s now that beam and sweeps will do more damage again (due to scaling getting fixed). If ppl start posting nerf-threads after this I´m going to get pissed.......

Just to be clear, Jabs is just as broken as sweeps. Its about 8-9K ST for both stamina and magicka...

If ZOS just fix the scaling (and not touching anything else) it will be a sweet return for the DW magplar :D

Just tested on PTS and my NA char, sweeps got even weaker with the changes so RIP melee Magplars...

Just regular Julianos/Willpower/2 Torugs and monster set. (I know my NA char is outdated) 599 CP in the exact same constellation live/PTS. I think that even if the tooltip changed to a static nr the % calculation is still there in the background.
Submitted a bug report so I really hope it is a bug and not intended...

Yeah my stamplar is pretty much dead now. I can't do enough damage to sorcs shields already and with the new +40% buff to shields, major and minor buff set, sorcs will be unkillable for me. R.I.P solo play

There isn't a +40% buff to shields. There is a new set that will make them last 40% longer, but that's an extra 2 seconds. If you weren't bursting through a sorcs' shields before they ran out anyway, than you had bigger problems than your class choice.

If all you do is PVE DPS on a magplar, than yeah, they are dead in terms of a competitive raid. But really, only mNB and mSorc are alive (for magic classes that is), and mSorc is hanging on by a thread. If you play literally any other content, they are very much alive.

If the Templars are dead, who's going to Repentance the dead bodies?

No one because that skill got nerfed to oblivion and back completely unnecessarily. It was a great group utility returning stamina to everyone that was very balanced and situational. Want stamina? Make dead bodies first.

But it was nerfed in the great sustain wars which were caused by the disgusting champion system which till this day keeps creating power creep which is payed for by robbing class skills of their power and uniqueness.

Meanwhile, you can get stamina (while blocking) for free on a warden by pressing one button.

Yes templars are still viable in PvP but a lot less fun.

Three changes need to be made:

    1. Return repentence to its initial state that has been there since launch
    2. Give templars another CC, (a root would be good). Perhaps the other morph of blazing spear (since the awesome disorient was unfairly taken away) could root now. would be nice for tanks.
    3. Fix all that broken tooltip stuff mention earlier

A root would be welcome, so Templar tanks have a hope in hell of competing with DK tanks.

Currently templar PVE tanks have two problems:
    - inferior sustain compared to other classes
    - inferior utility compared to other classes

A root would help alleviate the second problem (though admittedly it wouldn't affect the first).

Ive said it before, but they should have never reverted an early change during morrowind beta that had one version of shards return stamina (or primary resource) to the templar that casts the shard when an ally activates it. This was a very good change. It singled handedly helped templar tanks restore stamina while giving resources to allies and potentially freeing up an ability slot for one healer.

Trapping webs could have offered an aoe root alternative.

I respectfully disagree. Resources will be buffed in other ways due to off balance and synergies. Builds have diversity due to magic tanking being a thing. But there is really no reliable way to control mobs as a Templar. Resources can be worked on in a build or team comp. Absent skills cannot.
