Unbreakable Fear

    Things bug out on people all the time. But its well known that animation cancelling fear prevents the targets from being able to break free. Which ofc, gets abused frequently, like all broken things.

    Lol it's not a exploit. I animstion cancel fear all the time and people still instantly cc break it. CCs in general are just buggy. Fear is just very noticeable because of the long duration. But it doesn't bug out any more than crystal frag or dizzing swing. All CCs in the game are unbreakable at times

    Fear can be cancelled in a way that prevents people from being able to break it, no matter the stam pool. Hence breaking the intended mechanic of being able to cc break.
    This is absolute crap. Please, posting misinformation is not helpful at all.

    You're all wrong anyway. The buggiest CC is by far draining shot imo. But fear does bug out his way often.
    It isnt an exploit. Just lag or some bug.
    And why nightblades kill you when it happens? No way to know if you are just out of stam, unless it clearly shows the break free animation which is not always the case.
    Zoe needs to fix and take a look at CCs in general though.

    Try assigning break free to a single hotkey instead of the *** default left+right click. I've literally never been feared and unable to cc break.

    I do have it assigned to a hotkey, that's not the issue

    I won't argue the fact that all cc's bug out at times. Prime time, getting zerged down and my cruddy Aussie latency have all seen me witness various unfortunate bugs.

    But Braidas' video is aimed at one broken mechanic in particular, not all cc's. So that's what I'm discussing :)

    So tl;dr Fear CC needs to be looked at (possibly reworked?) as it's one of the more buggy and exploitable cc's in the game

    Fear has a soft CC associated to it immediately at cast that mini-roots (to orient character in a specific direction so you actually run away in the correct direction) and disorients (in order to drop block) before the actual hard CC takes place. If you manage to activate BF before the hard CC takes place you get left with an unbreakable fear as the game registers you as already being CC immune.

    CC immunity does not dispel active CC effects thus BF will no longer work. Same thing happened with old reverb and current scattershot.

    You can see my character start the break free animation but nothing happens (clearly had enough stam).

    just broken eso can not fix anything now roll a nb fear not woking np cloak and fear again very poor level of gameplay this game offer

    There is also another annoying 'bug' that didn't used to happen before, and that's CCs going through block when you happen to weapon swap at the wrong time, while still holding block. It seems to be tied to that little graphical signal, because I never noticed it before that update. This punishes players that are fast enough to react to things like meteors or frag/streak combos etc.

    That's been a thing ever since the gcd was removed from swap. Which was needed because the gcd made wep swap unusable.
