Why aren't there any mushrooms in the surveys? They are by far the most difficult to get in reasonable amounts. I have 600+ of those mountain flowers and other stuff, and 200 max for mushrooms.
I realized that a long time ago and I don't rely on surveys for my Alchemy needs, instead I go to Imperial City to farm telvar and buy my mats there, much more easier and fun. But that's just my opinion.
Surveys should in theory should provide all mats that grow from the ground, but the current system is how ZOS designed it, it's their game and their logic.
With the exception of Namira's Rot, I rarely ever use mushrooms in potionmaking. Sure, they're harder to come by, but they're mostly worthless. The only thing that I really use mushrooms for is learning traits and leveling alchemy. Keep the surveys as they are--I'd much rather get useful flowers than useless mushrooms.
I'm glad they aren't there. There are already too few plants at these surveys and I use stuff like thistle, wormwood, lady's smock, etc. way more than any mushroom. My complaint is that I rarely ever get any cornflower!
