@vaoh I totally forgot spellcrafting. Thenthing was, I knew I was forgetting something, and I knew it was some sort of crafting upgrade, and I couldn’t remember. Doh. That was it, spellcrafting.
For those not familiar with the spellcrafting concept in eso, in 2014at quakecon the team laid out the system in pretty good detail. Keep in mind, this was before champion points, before Wrothgar, before the justice system. But at that time, here’s what they were thinking.
The mages of eyevea (idiot mages, lol) discover an extinct other-dimensional civilization that is accessible via hidden doors all over Tamriel. You would find a clue or something, and giannthe ability to follow a magelight to the door, where you could explore ruins and discover pieces of spells from the familiar schools in the other games (destruction, alteration, etc). You’d have the ability to create spells from the traditional eso schools of magic, open skills lines formthem, then slot them as abilities and use them like other skills in the game.
Spellcrafting could open up a lot of new possibilities, and I like it. But I wonder what sort of spells we would build...even though in the chronology the other games are later, the spells you use in Oblivion and Skyrim feel antiquated, cumbersome and primitive compared to the more modern gameplay in eso. They’d have to revamp things...I don’t want to toss out lame little fire balls, lol.

Morrowind added battlegrounds, so perhaps ZOS plans to add a big new system with each chapter release. (For $60, they better...lol). What’s your top choice for a major addition?
(Note - I’m not including transmog because it’s been announced, and because that is NOT a major addition in my mind, and it would annoy me if that was the biggest new system we got in the chapter release.)
