They will never add an auction house its been to long but they could fix this whole vendor search idea by adding a bazaar type board that allows you to search for something and see which vendor it was on then go there and buy it (All currently listed items) just like how Swg did it.

But it's not much different than what people do now visiting guild stores and buying low selling high. So would you like to see a global auction house?
Far different. Far easier to dominate. Far easier for bots to ruin the market
Actually the current system now is the easiest setup I have ever seen to corner the entire in game market, all someone needs to do is make an alliance of rich guilds and buy up every stall in the game so that no one else can sell anything for that week or multiple weeks. Also all the prime spots are mostly taken by guilds that have more than 2 traders as well.
This trade system is dominated by bots but ZoS seems be doing nothing about it, the material market is insane for the sales some people have, in some guilds people make over 10 million just in materials alone every week, I doubt they're sitting at the computer manually gathering those materials.

I normally spends about 12 to 16 plus hours away from home. Working somethings 6 days straight. As a working american. I totally despise the current iteration of the trading system in this game. I don't have time to spend my 1 or 2 hours of gaming I'm afforded for each night, just searching for items I need in game.
After starting on my new job. I'm really starting to just believe ESO is just not a MMO for the working class american. I just started to try out BDO a few days ago and I'm like damn. Yeah this game is a hundred more times grindy then ESO. But at least most of my gameplay would be spent playing the game instead of searching for that one piece of gear that I need, yet still don't find it. And yes I totally feels for us console brothers and sisters. Like they must like have to be non working no-lifer to play this game on console.
Just my two cents is all.

Given how long it takes to do things in this game, I cannot envision how you would be able to play only 1-2 hours a day. Just moving between a couple zones takes an hour. A single daily can take an hour or more. Things take an incredibly long time in this game, thus explaining how 8-12 hour periods can go by incredibly fast.
