Maybe they can have pets alert you when around certain material. like my pet dog would bark when near clothing material with the "clothing passive" kind of thing,

what is your feedback on this

Not a good idea, sorry. This game has no real Pay To Win currently, but a pet purchased with real money helping you get resource nodes before other players would be pushing it.

I'd rather we have combat pets, taming added to the game

It would be nice if they had some function. And then I wonder immediately what the impact would be on performance.

    Conditioning. It works.

The game should get rid of pets altogether.

It would be about 2% as powerful as the paid for craftbag.

I respect the replies! Was thinking of making a free thing. something you would have to train for throu the stables much like the speed, stamina, and inventory

more of another gold sink rather then pay to win

Vanity pets can't have function though because they are, well, vanity pets. That's also why it's okay to have them in Crown Store but if ZOS were to put sorc pets in there....

I don't like vanity pets, they clutter my screen and annoy me, wish there was a toggle to turn them all off on my screen. Them having some function would give it a point indeed but that'd contradict the "vanity" part in itself.

There are pets you can obtain in-game and the OP didn't say anything about them going and grabbing resources. Just making specific sounds. No pay to win there.

Yeah I would not want non combat pets to affect the game anymore than just a sort of thing I can decorate a home with. I am perfectly fine with how pets are atm.

I'm surprised nobody's asking for Dwarven vehicles for their pets.

There's already a bright glowing shiny light on that resource node if you've unlocked the Keen Eye passives. Serious farmers don't need a pet making audio cues. Unserious farmers should start using keen eye - it makes a huge difference in spotting small mats like potion reagents.

    No thanks.

I'm actually also for removing non combat pets from the game completely.

Inb4 bots using this system ... they are already anoying as hell with their 6 scamp per sorc ( cheating) so we don't need pet taking all the ressource ....

Purely cosmetic pets aren't an issue at all.... but I would agree that pay to win pets like the idea proposed in the OP are

You are essentially asking to give non combat pets what you get through skills. I'd rather have my pocket mammoth sitting on top of fake tanks, immediately sending them back to Oblivion and finding us a real one as an ability. Or my wolf howling as soon as there's a cute Breton girl nearby.
