I'm really being serious. Sorcerers already summon Daedra, so a Necromancer will summon undead out of nowhere? To me, that is too similar.

I mean choyz is gud, moar choyz is gudder but a necromancer is not something that would get me throwing my money at a new "chapter".

People that are againts necros have litle imagination...

as a person who played MANY and i mean MAAAAAAANY MMOs.. there is waaay more to necros then just minions....

yes minion sis one of the parts of the class.... BUT...

just check the Necromancers in GW2 or Rift or the warlock and Death Knight in WoW or Necromancer in Diablo 3 just a few examples....
there is 13141551 ways and method to make a dark necrotic Mage/caster class...

you people need to stop only seeing minions and skeletons when we talk about NECROMANCERS...

and Eso lacks some real Dark caster/Mage class..... NB does not count too heavy build around stealth and melee assasinations... more of a dark assassin then a Mage even as a magnb...

also necromancer is a BIG part of the Eso world would be silly to not include them as a full fledged class in the game.

But this isn't GW2 or WoW...

This is ESO and in ESO necromancers are the dark mage summoners of the dead. People who want necros want that archetype bcuz it's already in the game in the form of NPCs.

Also, ESO lacks any dark caster class? Have you played a sorc? They literally have a skill line called dark magic and another called daedric summoning...

Personally, this is one reason why I don't want a necro class but if it comes then I'll be interested in seeing how a stam necro would be...

you call the dark Magic line sorc uses... Dark ? pfffffffffffffffffffffffffffffff hahahahaha..... its super far from it it bassicaly have like 0 dark in it really just in name lol

also you had to pull the this isnt that or this game card ? you know what Examples mean right ?
also you do know that the majority of the mmos out there would be way better games if they would copy a few good parts/ideas of other mmos right ? just saying...

SI in Oblivion had an necromancy spell. It was fun and looked awesome on paper.
Downside that anybody killed by some of your minions would be permanently hostile to killer.
This was an downer but fit Oblivion system, now an goblin warlord could be turned with command creature.
Now if the other goblins hit him 5 times or something he would become permanently hostile to goblin, think normal dungeon mini boss against trash. They would still be hostile to you then spell timed out
More fun, and yes Khajiit has had it hard lately and need an buff.
Grinding just make you go in circles.
Asking ZoS for nerfs is as stupid as asking for close air support from the death star.

A necro class would be a huge disappointment, I already hate Altmer so this Summerset thing is not gonna be having me jumping for joy, a necro class would even further disinterest me.

Stop catering to the elf and edgy dark lord lovers, give other people a chance too for something we like.
    Hoping for more playable races

Everytime I see this necromancer nonsense, I shake my head.

This is Elder Scrolls. Necromancy has always been treated as a forbidden evil in the series. Necromancers are always the antagonists. The ESO main quest has you combating a necromancer cult.

A necromancer class would never work in ESO. Stop asking for this nonsense.

    Yeah! Totally!

I mean, in TES III, necromancy is absolutely forbidden by the Tribunal...and the Nerevarine has to steal a skull for a necromancer in order to get plot relevant information as part of the main quest.

In TES IV, the Mages Guild has forbidden necromancy in Cyrodiil and is fighting to the death against Mannimarco's Worm Cult! Necromancers are totally evil! ... except there's quite a few spells that let the Hero of Kvatch summon a whole bunch of undead minions. Oh, and use black soul gems. Oops.

In TES V, there's a whole bunch of necromancers to kill around Skyrim. Those dudes and dudettes are like cockroaches, man!...and there's a whole bunch of "Conjure/Reanimate my undead minion to "Carry my burdens" spells. BTW, if you ever try to reanimate a dragon skeleton? Stand back, its pretty awesome.

In ESO, the villains are necromancers at every turn. Mannimarco, the Worm Cult, the Bloodthorn Cult, the Reachmen, the Greenshade questline, the Rivenspire questline. I mean, ESO is just crawling with necromancer villains...and the Vestige has to create a flesh atronach in the main quest, collect hearts for necromancy in the Rift, has multiple opportunities to enslave spirit armies, every example of Dunmer/Chimer ancestor worship is like "technically not necromancy...technically," and I'm sure I'm missing a few because I distinctly remember feeling like I keep running into necromancy an awful lot even as a "hero."

At this point, I probably shouldn't mention that one of the entirely canon endings of TES II: Daggerfall lets you side with Mannimarco (all endings are canon 'cause dragonbreak), should I?

There's, uh, absolutely no support in any of the Elder Scrolls for player characters to be necromancers. None at all!

(Personally, I have little to no interest in playing a necromancer since I'm of the opinion that this game already has a lot of necromancy-related content. But necromancy of some form or another has been available in most Elder Scrolls games and so I have no problem with it being added to the game for lore reasons.)

I respectfully disagree. Please look at this screenshot from a sorcery class going on at the Mage's Guild in (I think) Vulkhel Guard. Apparently, some students have asked why they don't teach necromancy there, and the teacher doesn't say it's because it's evil. She also doesn't say it's outlawed. She just says the stench is objectionable and makes a joke about it. In other words, necromancy isn't *quite* as frowned on as you think it is.

Also, I want to point out that in the EP main story-line, the hero learns that the DC is raising undead soldiers to fight for them, so apparently the DC thinks it's at least acceptable in wartime.

Necromancer; great another pet based class. Its not like we dont already have a class that based with pets and "summons" outer worldly beings. But how would a stam necromancer work?

I could be wrong on this, but isnt necromancy outlawed in the 1st era and is more based in the northern region's (near eastmarch)?

I feel like the chances of getting a new class is very slim, sure last chapter we had a new class, but that doesn't mean we will get one every chapter. They are planning to release a chapter every year, if that's a new class every year that would be insane. I feel like a new race or a new weapon is much more likely, another class is another year or two away I think.

Necromancer is perfect for this game, because one of the sad facts is this game seriously lacks ability to play an evil character type. The Necromancer can be the raising of the dead and attack death spells, and for the last part it can be the anti Templar with death like healing and/or buffs.

It's not like these things are not already in game with spells that NPC's use as well as the lore so covered by both ends there. And it could be just my impression but through the months/years seems like there has been a good enough percentage of players/people posting in the forums a desire for a Necromancer class.

    It's not about "hate" bro.
New class are not content it's only 3 new skill lines specific for that class, you got one with Morrowind, Warden and it's based around "summoning".
They can add new different one but after some time not next year. Simple.

Spellcrafting. I’ve said it before and I’ve said it again. With Summerset being so linked with magic, Spellcrafting would be an obvious choice to have with a Summerset chapter. Not another class.
