Why play a stamblade?

    A. Nobody got 90k dps in a trial on any character

I've far surpassed 90k on my MagDK.

    :p

In all seriousness, many people lie about dps, or include boss fights that have lots of adds which inflates numbers...or use Yokeda Kai fight cause the dps meters are bugged on that boss.

How the hell does killers blade hit for 58k on a practice dummy? Mine hits for 30k max and only 39k in a trial!

Wearing twice fanged serpent, war machine, and kragh. Don't know if the person is using the lover mundus as well since the image does not show. Getting to or close to penetration cap, using incap to proc major slayer from war machine and also do 20% bonus damage, keeping up minor force and minor berserk = killer's blade on steroids. I've seen my killer's blades to 73k in trials.

This is actually not sustainable in a longer fight, but as the op said, it's some pretty insane burst dps.

5 stack of Twice-Fanged Serpent?? Also, since he did 3mil damage (the max the target dummy has), that means the target dummy was under 25% health, thereby getting the 300% damage bonus from Killer's blade.

I have a stamblade and magsorc..each are good in certain situations the other is not.

I don't like mag blades because to me a stamblade is more roguey. The moves are more physiCal like a traditional rogue would do

    For insanely high burst.

Damn! That 58k Killer's Blade tho... and under one minute! Nicely done!

Haha in raids this bad boy hits for over 75k :D

Thanks! I'm more proud of the first parse which is without War Machine, which is technically less "cheese"

You did 3mil damage in under a minute? :/

Yeah, which is why I said that Stamblades are good for insanely high burst :)

Stamblades are comparable to Feral DPS druids in WoW. Their rotation is one of the more complex ones to pull off.

    1. FULL Rotation(Follow this rotation to stack as high uptime for hawks eye as possible)

    Bar 2. Trap - (LA)Hail - Swap
    Bar 1. (LA)Rending Slashes - (LA)Surprise Attack - (LA)Blade Cloak - Swap
    Bar 2. (LA)Incapacitating Strike - (LA)Poison Injection - (LA)Caltropes - Swap
    Bar 1. (LA)Relentless Focus Arrow - (LA)Surprise Attack - (LA)Surprise Attack - Swap
    Bar 2. (LA)Trap - (LA)Hail - Swap
    Bar 1. (LA)Rending Slashes - (LA)Surprise Attack - (LA)Relentless Focus Arrow - Swap
    Bar 2. (LA)Leeching Strikes - (LA)Poison Injection - (LA)Caltropes - Swap
    Bar 1. (LA)Relentless Focus BUFF - (LA)Surprise Attack - (LA)Surprise Attack

Note* Bar 1 = Dual Wield bar / Bar 2 = Bow Bar / (LA) = Light Attack

Bar 1(Dual Wield) - Blade Cloak - Relentless Focus - Impale - Suprise Attack - Rending Slashes - Flawless Dawnbreaker
Bar 2(Bow) - Rearming Trap - Leeching Strikes - Poison Injection - Endless Hail - Caltropes - Incapacitating Strike

For those of you wondering about Feral DPS rotation comparison, here you go:
    simplecatdps.jpg

The "Hawk Eye" Rotation isn't actually that good. 1st reason: you can't possibly use it on bosses with a lot of movement. 2nd reason: it doesn't actually do more DPS since bar swaps add an extra GCD, so you lose quite a bit of time in the end.

The rotation still isn't "easy" however, since it is a shifting rotation, unlike all the other classes. And of course, Relentless Focus is not static.

This is what the rotation looks like:

    1. Hail > Trap > Caltrops > Injection > Assassin's Scourge > Rending Slashes > Incap > Surprise Attack x2 > Assassin's Scourge > Deadly Cloak > Relentless Focus
    2. Hail > Trap > Caltrops > Injection > Leeching Strikes > Assassin's Scourge > HA > Rending > HA > Surprise Attack > HA > Deadly Cloak
    3. Hail > Trap > Caltrops > Injection > Assassin's Scourge > Relentless > Rending > Incap > Surprise Attack x2 > Assassin's Scourge > Deadly Cloak
    4. Hail > Trap > Caltrops > Injection > Leeching > Assassin's Scourge > HA > Rending > HA > Surprise Attack > HA > Deadly Cloak > Relentless
    5. Repeat from 1.

That's basically the annoying version that will grant you the most Assassin's Will procs in a fight while having some downtime on a few of your DoTs at certain points. The simpler version is:

    1. Hail > Trap > Caltrops > Injection > Assassin's Scourge > Rending Slashes > Incap > Surprise Attack x2 > Assassin's Scourge > Deadly Cloak
    2. Hail > Trap > Caltrops > Injection > Leeching Strikes > Relentless Focus > HA > Rending > HA > Surprise Attack > HA > Deadly Cloak

Both are good, both do very similar DPS.

And in execute phase, its the same thing except without the Relentless Focus and instead of Surprise Attack its Killer's Blade.

I use the exact same rotation in raids with just one modification: Leeching Strikes. And no I wasn't using Lover :) Actually pretty far from the penetration cap in the end. I'm also using Selene now instead of Kra'gh, which does like 2.5k DPS. Velidreth on fights with lots of AoE or on bosses with big hitboxes (Ra Kotu, Varlariel and Hunters Killers).

Killer's Blade still hits for 54k with VO and VO does basically the same DPS as War Machine actually.

There's something very wrong with your setup, then.

Would have to verify but I'm fairly sure I saw an 81k Killer's Blade pop in a raid parse the other night (that'd be with Warhorn + Major Slayer + Incap buffs all up).

You have Stam templar listed twice ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

Yup.Hard to take that list seriously now :p

So which one did you think he meant Warden? I'm guessing Hard!

    That's my guess

yeah, sorry, but I think it's easy to see the pattern but I'll simplify:

    Magicka = easy
    Stamina = hard

    Regardless of class.

    That help?

I disagree from my experience so far. I hated mag sorc, died all the time. Im making a stamblade and ive been breezing through the content that I struggled with magsorc. Its not hard to get out of the way. Its my magsorc that couldnt dodge or sprint well and would run out of stamina then die.
As soon as I made a stamblade it was as if it were made for me.

Stamblades are number one both highest dps solo and raid parse. Very squishy but if you master mechanics in game stamblade is a great asset to group for ST damage.

I noticed while running around mine hits for a max 40k crit. That's with my Weapon Damage at 4,700 I think.

With the exception of vet Asylum Sanctorium HM, stamina toons bring much higher single target dps to end game PVE content than mag toons. Stamblades are also the only class to leverage major slayer effectively in trials.

Soloing content on stamblade is hard yes, but they are perfectively able to shine in groups.

Once you get the hang of the stamblade, i assure you there's probably no other build you'd want to solo most pve content on. Maybe not solo a 4 player dungeon, but anything else, a good stamblade will slice through it like nothing. My main dps actually is on the low end of high performance stambaldes on single targets, running reliably between 25k to 30k, but on trash fights, pfft. 60k-80k. She cuts them down like nothing. Meanwhile those supposedly superior mag sorcs are running through trash mobs in dungeons because it takes them too long to kill them and I'm like, chill, dudes, let my murderous khajiit handle this.

(In case anyone is wondering, I'm running 5 VO+5NMG+2 Kra'gh. Daggers, sharped w weapon dmg and infused w poison, and bow on off-bar, with sharpened w weapon damg, plus warrior stone)
