I am looking for a good spot to level my pet magsorc from 3-50. I dont have enough gold to pay for skyreach runs and dont have guilds or friends that will help me level. Is spellscar still good?

    public dungeons...

fairly fun fight regardless of level, have some interesting stories, chance to pick up some decent set pieces, plus you can snatch a skyshard and a skill point in the process...

Crimson cove is a good one but I don't think sorcs get the full benefit of solo'ing that with a pet build, sorry but pet builds kinda ruin some exp runs. Have to clump enemies close together, pets don't do that so they are spread out. Ruins mass exp farming. Still would have to worry about ways to self sustain and keep alive too, far easier with a templar or warden.

Dolmen cycles are good exp solo, provided you can do enough damage to get credit for kills.

May I suggest joining a guild then...you'll find plenty of people willing to run laps in spellscar during this event to level easy

With the double XP event run Dolmens in Alik'r I got to lvl 35 in about 4-5 hours max over 2 days

Stars off fast like 2-3 dolmens per level up until the higher levels where it becomes like 8-10

Since it will be mobbed just wait for the boss and chuck down AoE or run with a few random people

I would suggest this until about 40-45 and then run the zombies in Coldharbor

Cliff of failure, right side to the entrance go up, small area that have high spawn rate, i leveled all my characters there solo, normally only using armour purple quality with exp bonus and 100%exp scroll with eso plus, it took me around 8-9 h per character.

Just don't use your pet while levelling to 50. Levelling the pet skills is easy, especially when you have enlightment XP available post-50.

The most fun way to solo level (although not the fastest) and that also teaches you combat on your class is nMA. I'm a big fan of nMA leveling.

Enlightenment only affects CP gain. Skill leveling always uses the base XP and has never been affected by enlightenment. That said, XP levels are higher once you hit 50, so skill leveling in general is more efficient at that point. But that has absolutely nothing to do with enlightenment.

I'm certain that it does contribute to skill XP gain.

But I will test when I get home and see if that's true or not.

Ok, i thought it had impact, anyway for leveling lots of skills like switching between stamina or magic or an healer / tank build dolemens are nice as you only need an aoe skill unless solo. I prefer ardudien over alk'ar becuse of fewer players.

If you can survive an low population dolmen well do public dungeons and then nMA, is better and more fun.
You want the public dungeons for skill point and skyshard anyway.

Also random normal dungeon, this is just once each day however with the dugneon quest and popping and +50% potion then you see its an smooth run and caching in quest you can easy get 3 levels if below 30, this is for 10-20 minutes.
Do different stuff, start with dolmens, mix with an random dungeon at 10, more dolmens, do some public dungeons,
Grinding just make you go in circles.
Asking ZoS for nerfs is as stupid as asking for close air support from the death star.

I leveled a Warden during the last double xp event by doing random normal dungeons, over and over. The queue wasn't too bad, even as a dps, and the completion bonus with the event buff and an ambrosia got levels fast. It also levels Undaunted, and gives skill points for doing the dungeon quests.

I grinded dolmen or jumped on WB dailies while I waited for queue.

I'll probably level any future alts the same way.
