Hundings is still top dog

I’m finally getting to the point where im reaching 9 traits in the last of my items (omg the price of nirnhones weapons!!)

I feel cheated. I can make 9 trait sets but I’m still making hundings. Why is this? Surely for all of the effort and time I should be able to craft something better.

Even in clockwork city the new sets are so easy to get to. Where is the payback for 9 trait crafting :,(

Although not fully 9 trait crafter in all weights I'm only going back to craft turogs light and heavy for my toon that's the go to for me even over julianos

It’s awesome that hundings and Julianos are still great go to sets. I hope it never changes. However I do think sets like twice born star etc, should be made for viable.

Maybe they need to require more traits for crafting? Rather than changing the sets, I suppose it make sense to change the requirements for crafting them to better match how they are being used.

They should better make the other set useful , if they nerf these 2 sets just because they are " useful " and want to make the choice interresting between trash and trash ... Teso will become the first Tes where craft is useless as hell.

I suspect that the devs and marketing people have already foreseen this. If Crafting is the best, then they cannot hand out better rewards, and this significantly reduces the desire to run content. I think they would much rather have people complaining about the RNG treadmill than have people saying that there is no point to doing content because there are no rewards for doing it.

The fine line is to keep Crafting useful, but not so useful that it interferes with, or replaces, rewards.

Look at using a mix of morkuldin's and hundings, or morkuldin's and night mother's. Although the crafted gear you choose depends more on how you want to play, and which class you want.

Hunding's is the good basic choice for certain builds. :shrug: I'd love for the devs to come up with a better set. In the meantime I use my 9 trait crafter to make gear for guildies; I can find my way to the Twice Born Star and Hunding's stations with my eyes shut, at this point.

You get to craft every set for master writs now. That's the way I look at it anyways.

I was all sorts of excited when I got 9 traits in medium so I went to the eternal hunt station and made me a set.

A day later I pulled my hundings back out of the bank and haven't taken it off since.

I still don't understand those who spend so much time farming for gear to get those perfect stats. I've been wearing the same two sets since I hit 160, and can complete most PvE content and continue to be competitive in PvP.

While I've played around with many different combinations for Pvp, and despite others telling me there's much better choices, I still go back to the good old hundings rage.

julianos is BiS for most magicka set ups
hundings paired with vo will give you great damage and sustain
nightmothers provides grest group utility

its nice that zos provides a nice balance between crafted and dropped sets. both types are essential to end game content

Take those three line, 1.8sec buffs and make them ~6sec.... PvPers always trash talk me about using poisons or siphoner, and yet still never smell the coffee.

Which reminds me, sssshhhhhooooOOOOOsshhhhhh!

Before CWC was released I got some requests for different sets, but I agree, Hunding's Rage and Night Mother's Gaze are top now. With the relevance of these sets, the amount of crafting requests also improved.

Now people only need to learn how to make an order. Like not making the crafter ask every single detail, but actually telling us the trait, style and weight.
