I don't see spell crafting. It would create such a huge disparity among players, those in the know would completely dominate those not so.

    Balancing nightmare for sure

“Those that know how to play the game would beat those that don’t.”

    Totally unfair.
Until someone you don't think should beat you somehow aces the new skills and craps all over you....

Then it would be like proc sets, so totally unfair...

Some hearty PvP updates. Continued performance improvements. More game balancing of course.

Why does anyone event want spellcrafting ? Are we playing the same game?

I don't know. Did you watch the 2014 QuakeCon presentation by Nick Konkle on it?

If you've watched that then I am more surprised that you don't want it.

Either way, one of the main reasons that "anyone" might want spellcrafting is because they showed it to us 3 years ago and still haven't delivered!

Spellcrafting would stripmine whatever's left of the class uniqueness from the game. But, of course, that would actually be pretty consistent with their lunacy of the last year, so I won't be shocked if it happens.

Me, I'm hoping for a Tranmog system that that's implemented in a way that doesn't just relegate crafters to "re-skinners." Making high-end gear able to be broken down into single-use schematics, for example.

I'm hoping for an update to the Housing system that includes weapon racks and armor dummies, since that really should have been in from the beginning. More item slots in homes is needed, as well.

I'm really hoping they roll back some of the changes they made this year. "Waiting for Resources Online" is not a fun game. If nothing else, they should at least put in a decent out-of-combat Regeneration bonus. And what they did to some of the class abilities is just depressing.

More than anything, I want them to move away from RNG in rewards. Really, I want less RNG overall. Nothing else even remotely like the droprate of Buoyant Armiger pages or Clockwork furniture schematics. It's time to start treating the players as if they and the time they invest are worth something.

Anyway, I'm sure we'll find out soon.

Spellcrafting would be cool, but honestly they haven't even hinted at that since 2014, so it's very unlikely, not to mention all the balance issues it would bring, which considering the mess they've already got on their hands right now, I doubt they'd wanna get into something like that. But who knows, they've done crazier things before. My main hope is just that they give people a reason to come back to the game as a lot have stopped playing in the past months.

    [Edit to remove bashing]

Hmm.. Apparently it isn't allowed to make jokes on the forum. Cool :|

To clarify, I wasn't bashing Matt, it was simply a playful attempt to predict what might be in the road ahead letter, but apparently ZOS don't like that kind of humour, heh..
