Some people are so easily discouraged.
Theses boxes are A LOT more limited than the Plunder Skulls.
You can only get 1 Mysterious Box per character a day, which means that you could easily get the trash consumables over and over and never get something you'd actually want if you don't have a lot of characters, if you can even manage to get through the bugged Group Queue.

AchlysNox✭✭✭Took about 10-15 invites to group before I got in. Then even though there were 4 of us in the group, we were queued for 15-20 minutes before we got our first ready check. Everyone presses ready and it keeps saying someone declined. This happens 15-20 times too, and then finally we get into the dungeon.
We play through it and at the end of that 35-40 minute experience was this amazing loot:
That's right, the loot tables contain a '1 x lock pick' entry.

JiKama✭✭✭✭With all do respect to those who don't play alts. All you really have to do is get a character to level 10 or 15 and just do group finder. You'll be placed in brain dead easy dungeons. It takes some effort, but it's not all that bad considering the many things you can earn for free.3 -

✭I was kind of excited to go try some dungeons, because some of what they said could be in your rewards seemed more impressive than my anxiety about trying out dungeons with strangers. But....1 lockpick is a hysterically bad piece of loot. Most of what I am seeing people get is SO BAD, what is the point of only being allowed one per day per character? treasure maps - hew's bane, kenarthi's roost, greenshade. couple of surveys, one woodworking, one enchanting. some mimic stones. 2 repair kits. 2 dye kits that I'm unlikely to use. 1 clockwork recipe that I already found before (but hey, at least I can sell it on a trader, so there's that). and that purple undaunted treasure thing that sells for a whole 1000 gold.
given above, at this point I look at it as a chance to run stuff with my guildies, get some tanking and healing practice, get a few alts leveled up a bit, and stock up on some transmutation crystals. because given above rng? chances of me getting ANYTHING good, let alone a jackpot are basically zero.Edited by Linaleah on November 30, 2017 9:45PMdirty worthless casual.

✭✭✭Less than 24 hours in and the shine has always gone dull. Honestly, what is this mistaken idea that we want all these worthless consumables? I'm ESO+, why would I need dye stamps? My main can make better tri-pots and foodstuffs.
I get that the rare stuff is rare, but enough with filling up my bank with RUBBISH. I guess I shouldn't be surprised, but I did hope for better.
I was really looking forward to this event, but I'm feeling just disappointment now.
