Absolutely, massive QoL improvement, and doesn't offer any more advantage than pulling up a skyshard map from Google does.

QoL? you mean it helps lazy people play the game by numbers?
'im sorry, i cant go over there and kill that mob. google says i have to go that way'

What are you even... what are you attesting. Are you saying it's better to just go and get every skyshard organically, without the use of any addons or even a map? Even including alts?

That is completely ridiculous. If you've already found them yourself once, it's fine to use the addon after that. Even if you never did find them yourself, it's fine.

Yes, pretty much from when the addon came out I have, same with the lore book addon. If I didn't have it I would only look up a guide or find a map online of them and do it that way.

There are so many skyshards and they're not account-wide so I'm glad that addon exists. I didn't use it with my first character but I did with all the others.

    Add-ons are for the weak!

I find it way more fun to find shyshards following the vague hints in the journal, stumble over lorebooks when I spot a purple glow in he night or look for treasure chests the old fashioned way... it is supposed to take using ones brain, not just looking at a minimap! :p;)

Blanco is correct, when you view the map, there is a icon (kind of looks like a funnel) on the right that will show you a list of filters.
TTMP allows you to show/hide all types of node icons individually.

I guess I should have been more explicit:
I meant the woodworking, metalworking, clothier, enchanting, solvent and alchemy nodes..... I'd like to not record them as it makes the variable file rather large and means that load screens take a little longer...... (which is absolutely why I DO NOT use HarvestMap)

I mainly use this addon to record chests, troves, sacks and BACKPACKS and POI's.

( @SirAndy - you Sir have created the only addon to do this and I have recommended this addon to many a homesteader in-game, who absolutely loves this and the poi option) well done!

Edit: I actually do turn off those node!

Ah yes, i actually considered an option to not record certain types of nodes at some point but ultimately decided against it.

I did look at HarvestMap when i initially started working on TTMP and i did not like the way HarvestMap stores its data.
It's very bloated and memory intensive.
I made sure TTMP had a much smaller memory footprint to reduce loading data when you change maps.
Even at over 35,000 assets tracked in the current file, it's only 1.8 MB.

But even more important, when you use the map filters, anything that you have set to be hidden on the map will have no impact on the map loading performance since that data is completely ignored.
You still gather info about new assets/nodes but as long as they are hidden from the map, they will not slow down the map and level loading.

    @SirAndy

Great to know - thank you for that little bit of important info. :)

This addon works really well in conjunction with Votans mini-map which also has a small memory footprint.

As an aside: I do wonder how many of the issues (that ppl have in-game) are because of addons. I know many do not even consider clearing out the saved variables folder when trying to resolve issues.

    Anyway - another Awesome!

I used it at the start of the game, but when DLCs started coming out I intentionally did not use them but instead enjoyed the hunt for them. I loved the exploration. In the same way I never used guides or addons to find the items in Wrothgar, Thieves Guild or the Dark Brotherhood assassinations, nor anything in Vvardenfell. I do however still put on the addon on my alts after my main have found them on their own without the addons.

I had been playing ESO for about 2 years before I used any add-ons at all.

By that time I had 4 Vet Chars. Two had completed Cadwell's Silver and Gold, 2 were at various stages of completing them.

"Skyshards" was the first add-on I installed - followed a few months later by "Law Books".

I know the locations of all Skyshards in Tamriel, Coldharbour, DLCs and Morrowind, so the add-on is simply there to enhance the quality of my playtime experience.

Subsequently, I added "Tactical Combat", "Team Speak", "Fishing" and "ATT" for selling. I might need to add "Discord" at some stage.

From the above list, it is "Law Books" that I find very useful indeed. Even after diligently searching for new books as new content is added, there are nearly always one or two I have missed. New books also appear in zones that I have cleared in the past with my main char and therefore there is no immediate necessity to revisit that area again. Having the add-on, serves as a reminder to pick up the new book that is near say a Crafting Writ or Treasure Quest location that I am collecting on in that area.

I play the piano, so I do not need add-ons for filleting fish, making stacks of potions or extracting from mats. A finger on my left hand can quite merrily be tapping on the "E" or "R" key on the computer whilst I am whisking pancake batter, or doing calculations, with the right hand. :)

I did not want to use it at first, wanted to feel immersed and explore bla bla but at some point I needed the skill points xD so I did download it, and man I cannot go back to not use it!

I never update it when a new region DLC gets released to see if I can find them myself, and so far I have done a pretty good job but eventually I always update it because those freaking rocks are well hidden sometimes! I consider it to be one of the basic add ons for everyone, really.

I mostly use this addon to lvl my alts, skill points are desperately needed at the low lvls and now with One Tamriel it makes sense to use the addon.

I KNOW that there are 6 skyshards in each of the delves on each map/zone. They are not all that hard to find.

Remembering which skyshards you have found is much harder - and THIS is the main reason (imho) that this addon is a favorite for most players.
