Slightly quicker than just googling it.
... Slightly.
"But you shouldn't be cheating to know where stuff is in the game! You should explore and figure it out yourself!"
Well... I mean... I still gotta WALK (run/ride mount/fly invisible owls) all the way there! There might even be some mobs I have to fight too! It's not like knowing where it is automatically just hands it to me. I still need to put in SOME effort on the matter.
It's tough being lazy!

I would never go skyshard hunting if this add-on didn’t exist. I used to play on PS4 and it was just horrible. The vanilla game is just so inconvenient and annoying to play.

I find it way more fun to find shyshards following the vague hints in the journal, stumble over lorebooks when I spot a purple glow in he night or look for treasure chests the old fashioned way... it is supposed to take using ones brain, not just looking at a minimap!
Yes. Without question. I'm not even going to torture myself over shard locations. Books, chests and even started using the harvester addon for my crafter. Seriously why wouldn't someone use these time saving, headache relieving addons?
I have the overland ones memorized, but I get confused in dungeons that look the same except the shard is in a different room. I love that addon, it keeps me from wandering around in dark dungeons killing the same mobs over and over, forlornly looking in the wrong corner for the shiny rock.
i love it, nice for alts, save my time switching game windows to browser. i just recently used it, and my main was almost all done except for Cyrodiil.
i only use for fish checklist for fishings, find books, tired to see same books over and over in dungeons trying to find before mobs respawn.
explore the zone. pick up those you see. once you hit the end of the zone, go back for any you missed and the hints make more sense now since you explored already
no addon required. except for cyrodil. too large, too many skyshards, and you cant spend all day dinking around next to the enemy keeps.
I found all shards and books on my first char without any "help", and I didn't even search for them, they are easy to come by while doing quests. However I don't do side quests on my alts, so I use the addon now - I think I've earned it

I did not use it for my first time gathering skyshards, but now that I have played multiple alts I use it. It gets tedious otherwise and the excitement of the initial search is no longer there.
