It always tends to be in good spirit, which is why I don't feel that there is much to be offended by. Even if you are someone who genuinely has some type of prejudice against an in-game race then I would just be more confused at your strange pettiness than offended.

Obviously IG racism is not as heinous as IRL racism. Furthermore for people really into the TES world character and story creation and roleplay are fun and important. For certain characters racism may be a part of those things, so the racism is appropriate.
Other than this I've noticed in a lot of cases, players "roleplay" racism in situations or contexts where it's innappropriate - for example saying something "racist" because it's jarring and awful just because it's jarring and awful. It only bothers me because IRL racism is still a big issue and I think it should be taken seriously even if it's just being roleplayed in a game.

You should clarify if you are talking about real racism or ingame racism about ingame-races.
Eitherway I only judge individual people by individual choices. The concept of race doesn't matter to me which is why I ridicule it. I laugh about racist jokes. I tell racist jokes and I like to make myself look like a racist since I am a German (and calling all Germans racists is a form of racism), but none of that is actually my serious opinion, even though a lot of people mistakenly think it is.
Similarily people think I support slavery just because I roleplay as a Telvanni.

Annoyed, not offended. You shouldn't look for reasons to exclude, laugh at, stereotype, or belittle a group of human beings for being born different, regardless of whether that's sexual identity, orientation, race, ethnicity, etc. No one gets to choose how or where they're born, and so we make best with what we have. It's hard to see that you've got a good life and you're privileged when you're biggest struggle in life is being grounded from your computer. There are actually people who suffer: people who have been made fun of on a daily basis, had death threats at school, been homeless, been abandoned by their parents, had loved ones die to drug overdoses, suffer with bipolar disorder or another mental illness, had their family members blown apart by another country's military, and so on. The world is not a pretty place, but it could be better if we tried to understand each other's pain and worked to make it better. So please, just stop making these crude remarks.

I don't get offended, but the jokes are getting pretty tiresome. Also, the whole "there's a lot of racism in-game so there's a precedent for the jokes" argument is kind of weak. There's a whole lot of racism around the world IRL, but that doesn't set a "precedent" for making racist jokes, does it? I sometimes wonder if some people get off on making racist jokes in ESO because they can't get away with it IRL.

That's because if you "play" the "bad guy" irl, you *are* the bad guy...

I'd hardly count lizards as "human beings."

Before you get back on your high horse, you can check several things off your list for me. Doesn't mean I whine about it. Doesn't mean I have to let everyone know so I can be a 'special snowflake.' People have to learn to cope and deal with their problems. Everyone has problems, whether apparent or not. Knowing how to deal with them doesn't make someone 'privileged.'

Go be hateful somewhere else . I have lost friends to racism and gang violence and do not need those reminders when I decide to play here . For some it's just a joke and others it's a reminder of senseless loss . If people were not beaten , shot , robbed , bullied , intimidated and terrorized just because they were born a different color then maybe some humor could be found in our differences . But since that is how some people get their kicks to this day , it doesn't feel funny at all to me . My family and friends are of many different cultures and races and I love them all with all my heart .

In game racism is a reminder of the same stupidity . Even if fictional , it reflects a mind set .

Yes, I get offended by racist comments pertaining to in-game races, because they clearly show that people who are making them are completely insensitive to racism issues in the real world. I get offended that ZOS does nothing about these threads despite people reporting them. On the other hand, they outright removed my thread that made people aware of a running petition to the UK government regarding gambling in video games. I no longer play this game and I am disgusted by the practices of this company.

Why should anyone go anywhere but you? If you can’t separate fiction from reality, that’s your problem. That’s like seeing a kitchen knife and being reminded of the time your brother was brutally stabbed in front of you. Understandable and able to be sympathized with on its own, but then it’s like expecting people not to use them around you while you’re at a public restaurant. It’s not going to happen, which you means you either have to grow thicker skin or stay home and eat your whole or pre-cut foods.

The jokes are about fictional characters, most of which focus specifically on bipedal talking cats and lizards. It’s completely harmless.
