HELP! Maelstorm Arena (vet) is not dropping set rings

help! ive done maelstorm on vet around 42 times in the last 2 weeks and i havent seen any rings of hunt , permafrost or any of the sets at all. I looked online and others have had this problem. Has anyone gotten a ring(of any set) from vet maelstrom stages 6-9?

✭AFAIK, there are no purple rings from the vMA sets.
Maybe there were once, but it's been a while since they dropped.
I think you can get blue ones in normal, and you can definitely get gold ones from the weekly rewards.

* Necklace can come in blue (stage 7 and 8), purple (stage 7 and 8) and gold (From leaderboard rewards)
* Rings can come in blue (last chest from normal maelstrom) and gold (weekly leaderboard rewards).
You also get a weapon/shield from these sets from the last chest on both veteran and normal.
@ZOS_GinaBruno Can we please get a fix on this??? Why can´t purple rings drop?? It was amazing that you made it possible for weapons of these sets to drop, but why you can´t make purple rings drop from last chest on veteran is beyond my understanding....
So far no one have proven me wrong that purple rings can drop since One Tamriel (not sure about how it was before) from veteran maelstrom arena.0 -

I would love to get those rings to try out some crazy things - but I can't bring myself to farm the normal arena for blue rings, and suck too much to complete the arena under an hour (which is roughly the continuous play-time I can enjoy right now), and compete for weekly rewards and gold rings.

You can still try to get on the leaderboards with as many characters as possible and hope for the RNG (as if RNG in vMA wasn´t bad enough already) to give you Hunt-rings in golden quality. Too bad there´s no guarantee to get rings/jewels from weekly vMA rewards. Would be nice if you got: 1 weapon (or 2 if it´s dualwield), 1 jewel and 1 body part from any of the sets.

I'd be curious to know what data it is you've got that allows you to assert that "most people dont even open chests save for the last one". A bunch of friends? A few guildies?
Besides, there are countless threads all over the internet about how purple rings don't drop.

I for one have run the arena countless times since when I first beat it in August 2016.
I have opened all the chests.
I have never landed a single purple rings - and it seems I'm not the only one.
Please, dev team, fix the loot table for purple rings in vMA!

From my findings (since HotR patch and 160-170 runs later (I kept count) in vMA where I´ve checked every single chest on each run):
From very roughly 1,5k chests:
* Necklace can drop from stage 6,7 and 8. In no other stage have I ever got a necklace.
* Never found a single purple ring from any of the chests
* Blue necklace drops in the same way purple necklace drops.
* Blue rings only comes from last chest and you can get both a weapon (non-vMA weapon) and a blue ring. My first theory was that the drops behaved like it would do in a dungeon, where you either got a weapon or a jewel from last boss, but in Maelstrom you can get both from last chest on normal difficulty.
Now this doesn't prove that purple rings doesn´t exists since RNG can play a part, but when I get a blue ring from that last chest in normal maelstrom almost every time I feel like something is off with the loot-table.Edited by Qbiken on November 22, 2017 8:52AM0 -
