Great changes to the Orsinium loot-table. But why was the Maelstrom loot left outside?

From the latest patch notes:

Item Sets

Weapons and armor from the Briarheart, Mark of the Pariah, and Trinimac sets will now drop in the full set of normal traits.
Note: This does not include Nirnhoned.

A great change, but why wasn´t the maelstrom loot-table included in this change?? The following sets drops from maelstrom arena:

* Elemental Succession
* Winterborn
* Hunt Leader
* Para Bellum
* Glorious Defender
* Permafrost

What do these sets have in common??
- No weapons exists in these sets, or at least they can´t drop. From normal maelstrom you get a blue jewelpiece from last stage.
- These sets doesn´t come in all traits. Impenetrable and sturdy doesn´t exists for some reason.
- When it comes to the quality of jewels these sets behave wierd. Necklace can come in blue, purple and gold quality while rings only come in blue and gold quality (note that this is observations from after One-Tamriel)

@ZOS_GinaBruno Are there any plans on actually fixing this??

I would like to add something to this -

Please fix the VMA bug where rings are not dropping for the aforementioned sets in stages 7 and 8 of VMA. Only necklaces are dropping for these sets in VMA

They will never (unfortunately) change the way VMA loot is weighted - by weapon type, and by trait. The only time they have changed anything relating to those drops is when they made "treasure hunter" passive useless on the final chest. Aside from that, I could see them changing the traits that are more likely to drop based on the "meta." That would not surprise me at all. I say this after hundreds of VMA runs. Though I know a few people with 1000+ runs and no desirable weapon drops.

Update: Ran vMA yesterday and I found weapons in sets like Permafrost and Glorious Defender. Still haven´t found Purple rings yet, but more runs need to be done.

I take back a part of my statement in this thread (will take back all when/if I find a purple ring of any set). But it´s nice to see that @ZOS actually listen this time

From last chest togehter with the vMA weapon. Time to farm some Winterborn weapons.....
Don´t know how the drops work on normal, will have to test that someday.

You know, now that you mention it, I can't remember a ring ever dropping in vMA in recent months.

I guess they don't care much about the vMA loot table because, um, every set except Winterborn is trash. But it would be nice to get some Impen Winterborn...

Love hearing that weapons are starting to drop. I'd be curious too as to how that works on normal. I've been wanting to purple Winterborn rings for forever it seems. Can't understand why that hasn't been fixed already. If it's so hard to adjust the loot pool to give them in the last chest then why not make a random ring one of the rewards at quest turn in?

Yeah, rings haven't dropped in VMA since one tamriel. Its a bug. I have been wanting to test a couple of sets out but can't because I need the rings.

Can you confirm if these were shields?

I know shields for those 2 sets can drop, but not for the other sets, and no swords/staves etc

The first weapon was a permafrost mace in sharpened, the other weapon was an axe of glorious defender in training.
