Endgame Crafting

Hey Guys...
So I'm a returning player. I have a few characters to 50, and I'm trying to figure out the endgame stuff... I was looking at guides for builds and It seems to me that in endgame, Crafting gear isn't viable for endgame content. You need to get gear from dungeons and such.. Is that a true statement? or can I Craft all my Endgame gear..

A huge thing for me in MMOs is my cosmetic and I love the crafting and Motif system in this game, But I feel like If I cant play endgame content with crafted gear because I don't have the right Item sets, makes it all null for me. Can I craft gear with the right item set bonuses to make my crafted gear viable in endgame?

    Most end game setups contain a 5 piece crafted set:
    - Julianos, Hunding, NMG, Torug (PvE)
    - Shacklebreaker, Eternal Hunt, Clever Alchemist (PvP)
    So crafting is entirely viable. The difference between crafted sets and similar dropped sets is really small. Crafted sets tend to be more generally useful across classes and dropped ones more specialized, for example boosting one type of damage more prevalent in some classes/builds.

    What crafted sets lack is the ability to craft jewelry, making it impossible to run two, five-piece sets. At some point overland or trial sets become a must if you want to incorporate jewelry into your setup.
