Simple Rest Mechanic (beds & Inns)

Hello there,
I'm sorry for my English, it will not be perfect :)

What do you think about a Rest Mechanic that gives you a subtle bonus for sleeping in beds or renting a inn room?
I tought about an experience bonus for the following day to impacto the rest feature (similiar to Skyrim), this is my idea:
  • You get 1% Experience Gain bonus for every hour logged off if you log-off near your bed or renting a Inn Room (new feature)
  • It will stack maximum to 6% when your character stay logged off in a bed for 6 hours.
  • The bonus Works only for the next 24 Hours.

I'm doing an example, as maybe my English is not great for this kind of things:
My character doesn't own an Home with a Bed, so he goes to a Tavern / Inn and interact with the NPC. I buy a Key for the room, wich Price is level based.
It unlock me a istanced room with a bed. Interacting with the bed it pop up a message: "Do you want to Rest? It will LOG OFF this character".
This could even be an interaction with the NPC (without a real room, so it doesn't need extra modeling of rooms).
I log in 4 hours later and I have a BUFF like "Well Rested: you take 4% more Exp for the next 24 Hours".
In your House it Works simply interacting with your bed.

Bad quality preview (it's not that good!)

This needs to happen. Houses are pointless as-is.

I agree. But what about the enlightened buff? Would this rested buff stack?

I don't think a 6% is too much to make it extremely OP... player appreciate that and it's not game breaking.
You can craft armor that gives you exp bonus from killing (from 5-6% to more than 60% I think, never tried it) so i think that this is not gamebreaking. Also it just stack to 6, while I think that Enlightened buff gives you 4 times right? (400%)
If (if) I'm correct this means that the difference would be from 400% to 406%...

As roleplayer even in singleplayer games, I would care more to interact with my bed after an adventuring day tan using a necromantic skeleton.
Apart from jokes yes, there are many features in the House system. But when I think about a house or Inn, my first tought is Bed and Food, comfy stuff :)

I love this idea. There could also be a general "E: Lay down" option introduced to beds (like chairs have for sitting)

maybe add it so it only works in zone the inn or house is in. Also extra xp or what ever buff if you use your own house.

this would encourage people to logoff. i doubt zos would like the idea. anyway we already have enlightenment. and do we honestly need faster xp at this point? no, we dont.
i am however in agreement houses could use more functionality. though still not sure what we could have that we dont already.
we have vendors, tables, interactive bits and pieces.

Yes you know... i'm pretty greedy right now :)

Jokes apart, going inside your home or pay for a room in a Inn IS "playing the game". ESO is not just fight.
And by the way it's pretty obvious that it's not that different from buying a dagger that gives you 9% more Exp for ever.
It's completely a different game, but in Skyrim i probably passed more hours in taverns and houses that Playin.... fighting dragons.

Don't you get rewarded with a massive Exp boost when you are offline for the Enlightment?
To me they could even balance things so you lose 1/4 of that buff and bring it back only if you use beds to log off :)

I like it. It would be a nice little perk for logging off from your house.

At the moment I almost always head back to town to log off. If this was a thing I'd log off from my house.

I'm bumping this to get more ideas and critiques. Hopefully this will make this thread more visible to the Devs.
Are we allowed to tag them in these circumstances?

you can role play it already without screwing up other peoples enlightenment like someone else here suggested doing.

Does it really screw up your game a mere 1-6% bonus XP? It's like you craft one single green helmet with the green stone Trait(don't remember the name) that give you +5% XP bonus...
