Is ZOS expanding the team?

2015---IC and Orsinium DLC (2story dlc with new zones) + Tamriel unlimited update
2016---Thief guild, Dark brotherhood and Shadow of Hist DLC (2 story dlc + 1 dungeon dlc) + 1T update
2017---Morrowind, Horn of the reach and CWC (1 chapter, 1 story dlc and 1 dungeon dlc) + Homestead update

Now the plan for 2018 (and I assume every year on forth) is 1 Chapter 2 story dlc and 1 dungeon dlc...and supposely we'd like to see another free update

Is ZOS expanding or we should worry about future "quantity over quality" focus?

Edit: Anddd are we ever gonna see free update with new zone again? (Craglorn was realeased 1 month+ after the game is released) :)

I would not be surprised if Zos did recruiting in specific campus's which would likely be where they found summer interns.

I'd suggest filling out an application at the link she provided and soon since of those decisions will be made in the next couple months.

But likely a 1099 form at the end of the tax year. Be careful on any positions like that if you are looking to join a company for the Long haul :).

If you already have your own business doing this type of work, then it sounds like a good spot to land. Everything you spend is tax deductible lol. I used to be that person; bought drinks with friends = client meeting lol.

I would like to see them update Vvardenfell a bit more. Add some new things to the empty places in the zone, and make a way to get on top of the volcano.

I take it as a good thing that there's no software engineer postings. (Almost) Nothing is worse for a codebase than high dev turnover. If there were a bunch of dev positions, I would assume the next few updates at least would be late and buggy. Also, art is important; it's a big reason I play ESO instead of something else.

Agree, many players (including myself) want to explore the Sheogorad region and the town of Dagon Fel. In addition, the existing towns could be more fleshed out ... including adding crafting areas for weary travelers.

Probably hundreds of people are working on a huge game as ESO. So there certainly is a degree of fluctuation as everywhere else. So there is nothing to worry in this area. What is clearly evident: After the initial woes that plagued such a large project as ESO, it finally reached a stable and playable state in 2017. With such a foundation it is now much easier to develop quality content. What was released in 2018 IMHO was large and great, I did not have the chance to do all the quests yet, and some of them are almost as good as Skyrim was. If ZOS will keep up this pace and quality in 2019, there is no reason to worry.

I would have no interest in developing for ESO. Would you really still enjoy the game after working in the code all day? I wouldn't, so I'd rather play the game than work on it.

1099 is good, you have a chance to check things out without the concerns of being fully on board.
Also 1099 employees tend to have more freedom than others in my experience.

Either way, if someone wants to work with ZOS, getting in the door any way seems better than waiting for the perfect opportunity.

Well 1099 means you are an independent contractor. But while this gives you more freedom, you have to tally your wages to include things like operating costs, health insurance, taxes, etc.

I worked for an architect that did this so he could get out of paying insurance and employee benefits. He was dictating work hours, underpaying, etc. And it was my first job so I didn't know any better.

Luckily for me I accidently filled out my SSN wrong and the IRS slapped the guy. Since then I learned in order to be 1099 you have to dictate your own hours, give enough money to cover your essentials and make sure your "client" is not oversteering their boundaries.

Pros and cons of living in Alaska? I've always wanted to visit, but not live there. My condolences.

For sure visit if you can. During summer. Summer is amazing here.

    Pros:
Summers are awesome, its super pretty here and its light all the time. Northern Lights are magical in the winter. If you are a hunter/fisher/otherwise outdoorsy person, this is the best place for you to be (I am none of those things). PFD's. The wildlife you can see just wandering around is sometimes pretty neat. I love my job most of the time and cannot do it from just anywhere. No snakes, no poisonous spiders, no ticks. Decent local music scene. Never had an issue with not being able to find a job (but I've been w/this company for almost 14 years now). If you like bears, go to Katmai. Fishing? Go to Kenai and/or take a Halibut charter. Those scenic boat rides to see the whales and the glaciers I hear are amazing. I can't think of any one place I don't like here for one reason or another on the road system. Well, maybe Cooper Landing, but that place is spooky af in a bad way.

    Cons:
Winter is cold and dark all the time. I hate driving on icy roads (especially in the dark). Practically no one comes here for concerts (and concerts are my very favorite thing). Bears are freaky and huge. Crime is outta control right now. I can drive for 6-8 hours and be in the same state, and in that city you have to have heating fuel delivered to your house and that can cost $700 a month in the winter. A lot of places will not ship to Alaska, good luck getting that super awesome gaming chair for example. People not from here ask you if you live in an igloo and actually mean it. We have a carnival with rides in the coldest month of the year, like waht?!?! Cost of living is higher and disgusting in some places (remote village for example, want to pay $12 for one gallon of milk?) Things take a long time to get here, like popular restaurants or stores open here a decade too late. 4th of July fireworks, can't see them, its light out.

Basically, I just need to leave the winter. And in 8 years or so, I can do that.
