Completely broken.

Console patches take longer to push through and are more expensive. If a fix went through on PC, then that means one’s in the works for console.

It was just as unreliable than before. I think it worked 1 time this evening how i wanted it to work and that was when i was fighting @ash and jumped from the mg tower to the tower in the east the other times i couldn't use it, open terrain, behind rocks, in towers/ keeps at different floors. Sometimes i activated the shade , the shade spawned but it immediately ported me to the shade even if i didn't activate the teleport.

And the next thing that ruins that skill is that you can't place a new shade even if you teleport to it or you activate the teleport when you are out of range

As a nightblade main, I has to vote for this too. Either they delete the class completely, or they make it so that we can do proper dps again. Right now its rubbbish.

new nightblade player here and I can't use the shadow image to port. It worked like 1 out of 5 try.

So this was apparently fixed with a small patch? but somehow it broke again later without a 2nd patch? how the hell does that actually happen?

Is this skill going to be as reliable as cloak now? working whenever it wants to and being broken by random stuff?

Correct. It was broken differently over the weekend. Teleports through terrain were failing as if I had left the shade’s range, and teleports with no terrain in the way were throwing me through the map..

Then on Monday afternoon, it worked perfectly following a little patch. I remember getting the “using an outdated client” message and having to download it.

Then yesterday most but not all teleports were failing as if I had left the shade’s range regardless of terrain. I had one or two work all day, and I was spamming it to see if I could find a pattern.

Yeah it kinda sucks that both Cloak and Shadow Image are either unreliable or bugged (respectively). How am I supposed to survive?

Last night my Cloak didn't work reliably, I was never able to teleport to my Shadow Image, and somehow my resto ult never went off when I tried to activate it. I was a very sad magblade. I survived by logging off and getting on my stamplar.

On PC EU it wasn't working in pvp not even a bit.
When i tested it in shadowfenn it worked kinda good but i still had a 50 % chance of failing to teleport

Not really with the streak bug I knew that if i used streak in a tower or through a door I'd die and in open fields i could spam it like always. With shade i have 1 chance every 20 seconds and 99% of the time it falls in pvp even on flat areas

The most interesting part of that thread is when Gina says

This bug with Ambush never occurred on our internal servers and is only seen on Live.

This isn't the first time they haven't been able to reproduce easily reproducible bugs on their internal servers.

At this point I strongly suspect that there are several significant, impactful differences between their internal servers and live Cyrodiil, which they either don't know about or mistakenly think don't matter, and that this is the cause not only of many of the unexpected bugs we run into, but also of the strangely long time it takes for ZOS to identify and fix some of them.
