Does the Imperial motif come with the imperial uppgrade?

The digital imperial uppgrade costs 2100 crowns and buying the motif from the store is far more costly. It used to be a part of the uppgrade but not sure if you get it now?

The Imperial Motif was never a part of the upgrade. It can be looted from random containers. The current price with gold is around 50-70k gold on PC/NA or thereabouts. Knowledge of the Motif is necessary if you want to craft Master Writs with the Imperial Style, assuming that you are not of the Imperial Race.

However, the Imperial Upgrade does feature the ability to transform gear (certain pieces of gear) into the Imperial style which will bind the gear to your account. This is similar to the Morag Tong transformation from the Morrowind Collectors Edition.
Gear that can be transformed includes:
    • Non-set gear
    • Crafted non-set and set gear
    • Dropped set gear that does not have an assigned style, such as the Trainee Set.

Yeah, its kind of limited and I can't wait for ZOS to roll out a proper transmogrification system.

Well you can buy it from the store but it was not cheap. Guess i'll pass on the imperial uppgrade then. Thanks!

The only way that you will have the imperial motif knowledge is if you roll an Imperial.

Or you find or buy the Imperial Motif in game (or the Crown Store as a motif). I bought the Imperial Motif for my Dunmer crafter so she could craft Imperial items.

The Imperial Upgrade/Edition does *not* grant you the motif, it only allows you to transform items to the imperial style, but when you do, they become bound. So you can't use it to create imperial items for others.

In order to craft imperial style items for others you either have to be a imperial or know the motif.

Keep searching though! I was in the Cave of the Incarnate on Friday, and found it in a some urn, so it definitely drops. I've been playing since Xbox launch, and it was my first one(also my last of the base game motifs)
