    Because you can't play the game if you don't. PERIOD. It's a legal Catch-22, and a sleazy way to avoid (most) lawsuits.

    Under normal circumstances I would likely so say no but I don't mean a monetary refund but the compensation I am talking about is to extend things like the luxury and gold merchant at most two days but I honestly think just one day for either of them. I can say they are trying to make a living for one thing. There is the matter of effort being done. They do acknowledge when things go wrong so they do care in that matter. But what other sort of compensation would be appropriate? Increasing rewards for the dailies for clockwork city dailies or pvp bonus rewards or? Because honestly I do wonder where the line is drawn on this.

    No for several reasons:
    1. Its against their own ToS to give compensation
    2. Not all problems are their fault. Many players seem to forget that upgrading their rig / internet-connection or even simply running an antimalware / virusscan once every while will solve a lot of crap.

    The difference there is that Sony's userbase is larger than ESO's and that PSN is a requirement for all games that have an online multiplayer component on the platform.

    Nope. They can't. The year after launch is proof of that when ZOS delivered no new content from October 2014 until Imperial City's release the next year.

    They need to stop releasing new content and fix the content they have. A new zone with 24 quests and 2 delves with a tiny trial cannot keep me busy while I can do nothing in Cyrodiil. This game needs an Operation Health style update like Rainbow Six Siege did. Fix the load screens, Fix Cyrodiil, fix the activity finder, Fix mount speed issues while traversing non-flat terrain, fix the chat bugs, the list goes on forever.

    They can make content and fix bugs at the same time. They have different teams for both. They aren't going to pull the people that make the art assets or the world building away from doing that just to fix a bug that has nothing to do with them.

    Clearly they can't do both at the same time or we wouldn't be in this situation having this conversation now would we?

    Clearly they can because the issue regarding load screens is for you console peasants only. It didn't come with the PC release. I guess that's what happens you have to compile code to work on inferior hardware to suit a market that is cannibalising itself with reiterations of the same machines just trying to keep up with what PCs can do

    the only reason for a proper refund i can imagne is for following stuff:

    * someone got banned/temp banned and later confirmed by zos as well it wasnt rightfull (banscript). happened to me, i got a friendly apology and a compensation of 1.500 crowns back then. thats very okay i guess for 2,5 days ban.

    * technical problems with dlcs, eso+ and other stuff u paid for - a bug which makes u not beeing able to use ur crafting bag as example. cant remember that something that way happened, but the battleground release was quite a problem - i wished zos would have been doing something for the buyers of morrowind which couldnt use a part of it.

    No, because it's an online game. With many, many players online 24/7. Issues are going to appear. And it's not always ZOSs fault either. Yes the long load screens are annoying. Yes the bugs are annoying. But let's be honest, some bugs we come across can be funny. And if they make you laugh. You can't really complain.
    And obviously, if they compensate one platform, they have to compensate them all.
    If the bugs and long load screens are bothering people that much; take a break from the game rather than expecting something from ZOS.
    These things happen.
    Purely my opinion, but come on guys.

    Cost me about 150 back at PC launch. Blame the stupidity of game pricing in Australia for that. Off topic I want a Nintendo Switch. It is cheaper for me to import the system from America on Amazon than it is to buy it in a store here.

    No, because you'd be opening the floodgates... every single bug, glitch or load screen would have people crying out for compensation (Even more than they do already).

    Plus as others have said. TOS, not paying a sub etc etc.

    That's not diminishing in any way the need for several fixes to key issues... but a crying compensation culture will not help or fix these in any way.

    for most things no, loading screens however I might consider a possible yes.

    Ideally however I'd much rather keeping us better informed on the issue and getting it fixed as the highest priority.

    For solo PvE, its a pain when it happens but not a biggie

    Our guild cancelled a trial because the loading screen issue interfered so badly with the previous run. :/

    For PvP, its making things so miserable where everything is so much more time critical. Transit to a fort before it goes under attack? Res at a field camp before its discovered and burned down? Racing across the map and get a boundary transition loading screen? Its gotten to the point where if I see two "this is an unusually...." I cancel the game, reload and try to get back in from scratch. After a half dozen of these in a row and its time to quit for the night. No wonder the PvP population is crashing right now.

    I'm gonna say yes to people who are subscribers because they are paying to play and...well half of the game is pretty much unplayable its not fair on them. I'm not a subscriber, but as frustrating as it is for me I'm not loosing anything by not being able to play.

    We've basically all signed a waver on not caring about down-time and its consequences, or at least accepting that it may happen and that there's nothing to be done about it at that stage. So no compensation for us. Unless ZOS chooses to do so out of the goodness of their heart. Because, as the above states, they're certainly not obliged to do so.
