Vet is suppose to be the challenging one....if you can't pug through a normal trial then this is definitely too hard :(

I tried to pug this through, wiped and wiped, ppl left and I recruit new guys, and finally reach the final boss...

Then wipe
wipe
wipe
wipe...............I spent 4 hours in HOF and eventually have to give up because everyone are exhausted

The closetest we get, we reached 1% boss health (66k to be exact), and then.....wipe :/
(edit addition: and we reach many times boss below 5%....I believe that says we know our mechnic, but the stat requirement is tooo high to pug)

I feel like I'm losing my mind now.....nHOF need to be easier in order to save the mental health of pug players

(Also nHOF is the only trial you don't see anyone recruit on zone chat (except me)...that says sth)

@ZOS_GinaBruno :s please grant this brain-dying man's wish

(edit addition: bravo to ZOS, nHOF has the best mechnic I know in all trials, only if we have easier time pug through and better loot to motivate ppl do it..)

been pugging it on 10 chars since it came out.
90/75/50/25 health he jumps from side to side stay near the front door or opposite side of room
stay out of the steam breath cone, even if your a tank you gotta roll dodge or side step it
when the add spawns its gotta go down fast or tank loses aggro because the boss is immortal and cant be taunted
when he does the small lightning aoes avoid the moving ones by zig zag or side stepping(dont stack them with other players either,ez death)
at 25 health he does large aoe fire ability you can purge through it.
just need coordination and practice, youll get it.

We get no trouble until boss reach 25%...then we throw our best dps at it and always wiped, even tho we are sooo close

yea its not a race, just be patient. the huge fire aoe isnt so bad as long as your not caught in the middle of both of them
have your DPS slot harness/purge. tanking actually is the easiest job in there, hes one of the slower fighting bosses and just needs to be tanked on far right or left side away from the middle of the room. the biggest problem i see is ppl dont focus the add or dont pay attention to the health trigger mechanics.

Halls of Fabrication, not Asylum yes?

Because the last boss on HOF does not jump from side to side, or summon large fire AOEs

On the last boss in hof, you need to go into the middle, around the boss, let your healers spam healing springs, and everyone should be in the springs, but not stacked too much.

    then you should be fine.
put down all the ultis, and keep attacking him

Then you should invite ppl. with exp into the grp., if you ask after exp, its sadly common that everyone says "yes ive done this before", let you show achievements or ask for their gear.
Hof is rare, its due the Morrowind DLC.

i gues nHoF is still the hardest normal trial. out of all vettrials (including hardmode) vAS/HM and vMoL/HM are imo still harder than vHoF/HM. But thats mainly bc the hardmode in vHoF is joke...(and buggy aswell :disappointed: )

PUGs = 3-7k dps per dd --> it will be hard to kill something with a lot of hp.

Also pug mol is way more annoying because of the twins.

    Typical nmol pug run:

Oh look i have another color as the tank. I really must hug the tank now. BOOOOM
Ice Furnace: This item set now grants Spell Damage, rather than Weapon Damage for the 4 piece bonus

Trials has something to do with communication and awareness which every player should have who is trying to do a type of content like this. Long time ago you also couldn't pug nMoL but after several tutorials and videos people realized how to play it correctly. This trial needs some time and you are good to go.

Getting 12 people to follow the mechanics on the other hand is really hard.

When I've pugged this, it's always been with the stack-and-burn tactic on the first and fourth boss, which is relatively easy if you choose members carefully and have a lot of dps.

Last boss can be a mess because pugs never prioritize the adds. That can easily lead to wipes in execute phase.

Sounds like you need better PUGs. You can't expect to bring a team of 15k dps and expect to be able to beat the trial. I've done it with PUGs many times and we've finished it within an hour almost every time. Only the rare occasions where things doesn't work out. nHoF is fine as is, you can just about skip all the mechanics with a group of 30k+ dps.

Since you've already reached 5% and lower repeatedly, I suspect you're aware of all other mechanics (the transformers, the arms, the adds, the boss's movements), and are having trouble with the execute phase.

First, make sure that all adds are dead before you drop him into execute range. You have a window between when his arms fall off and when he moves. Use it to direct all damage away from him and onto the adds. If a sorc facsimile runs into y'all while you're loosely clustered and starts dropping mines, your day will suck.

Also, start preserving ults after the boss's third shift, so you have them ready. You'll want them.

Adds are down, focus back on the boss, and when he moves to center, jump down and cluster around him. The positioning strategy I've seen quite often is to put the dps two each on the grooves where the spinning blades run during the rest of the fight (directly on top of one another), with tanks and healers in between in the center of the diagonals (tank opposite tank, healer opposite healer for good coverage). Pop your barriers, veils of blades, and novas. Keep up your blade cloaks, hardened wards, and harness/dampen magickas, use war horns if you have them, drop healing springs and warden trees, and melt his metal butt like an industrial furnace.

Collect your loot and enjoy the win, but not for too long, because that place fills up with poison and you've still gotta reach the exit. Celebrate after you're in the next room. (That said, if you all wipe once the fight is already over, you're still good. No restart necessary.)

Like Maw, HoF gets way easier once you get the mechanics down, which I think is a good thing for a trial and shouldn't disqualify it from being set up well for a Normal run. Normal doesn't have to mean cake-walk that you can pug and not have to worry about skill/knowledge level at all.
