I did nAS the other day and got 3 ice staves.....in a row. the rngesus didnt even bother to break it up with a different weapon.....after that i just quit and when to play a better game.

That's actually false. In that regard it's either 500 runs or 50 crystals + 500/9 runs.

Speaking of VMA, I have still yet to receive a sharpened lightning staff or sharpened or precise inferno staff. Between 500 and 700 clears. Possibly more than 700. I don’t known I have lost count.

You may have introduced a re-trait system which is nice somewhat (50 damn crystals is far too many btw), but you still have yet to learn the basics of “smart loot” in any kind.

Edit: I forgot to list the DW things I’ve received.

Well now during normal play you will be transmuting your lightning and inferno staves of other traits and making them sharpened, without doing any more maelstrom.

Gave it away.

On the other hand, now have nearly 70 transmutation crystals after 3 days of playing CWC, so I don't really see an issue with the "gear grind" anymore.

If you do any of the following with some regularity, you should be able to easily transmute at least one item per week:

Undaunted pledges
Maelstrom
DSA
Trials
PvP

In other words, all regular "end game" players should have pretty easy access to transmutation crystals. 50 to transmute an item seems plenty fair in my book.

Yes, group composition is very important. I wasn't farming gear, so I didn't mind the runs taking longer, but hopefully you can find some people specc'ed for trials, who also want the weapons, so you can do faster runs, without having to go through mechanics every time.

This thread make zero sense in light of loot trading being around for a long time.

So far I have at least one of each weapon from drops/trading.

I got a Sharpened Inferno Staff on my first and only run of nAS so far. It's definitely worth using on my Sorc since I can animation cancel Crushing Shock to get off three every 2 seconds giving me great uptime on the status effects.
