Like Turelus, I use a good amount of mods. And likewise I have to say that most of their functionality should be in the base game.
- Advanced filters (the vanilla inventory filters are way too broad)
- AI Research Grid (to know what each char has researched, without having to relog)
- Arkadius' Trade Tools (alternative to Master Merchant, can't imagine trading without it)
- Auto Recharge (I forget it way too often otherwise)
- AutoMaxImprovement (uses max # of tannins when improving)
- AwesomeGuildStore (again, can't imagine buying from guild stores without it)
- Chat Window Manager
- ChatHotkeys (assign keyboard shortcuts to stuff like /quit /reloadui etc.)
- Circonian's Addon Selector (organize your addons in profiles and turn them on/off quickly)
- Combat Metrics (must-have for minmaxers)
- Constellations (calculate optimal CP allocation)
- Destinations
- Dolgubon's Lazy Writ Crafter
- DressingRoom (switch skill bar and gear loadout with a keypress)
- EasyTravel (right-click on a zone in the map window, and auto-port to a friend/guildie in that zone)
- Enchant Maker (so you don't have to remember all those rune properties)
- FCO Item Saver (assign groups/icons to gear and filter views accordingly)
- FCO StarveStop (reminder when buff food runs out)
- Foundry Tactical Combat (used to share DPS with my group)
- Greymind Quick Slot Bar
- Group Loot Notifier (there's ongoing discussion about this one, but I don't mind others knowing what I loot, and vice versa)
- Harven's Chat Completion (makes it easier to remember / enter long commands)
- Harven's Extended Stats (shows important stats like spell/phys penetration that aren't in the char screen by default)
- Harven's Improved Skills Window (shows allocated skill points, needed exp for next lvl, shows tooltips for the non-selected morph etc.)
- Harven's Stack Split Slider
- Harven's Trait and Style
- Inventory Insight (look at all chars' inventories and bank without relogging or needing a banker)
- Itemization Browser (Searchable overview of all sets in the game with location, type, effects etc.)
- Journal Quest Log (shows an alphabetical list of all completed quests)
- LoreBooks
- LUI Extended (alternative to AUI etc., makes the GUI worthwhile)
- Merlin's Rez Helper (shows directional arrows pointing to dead group members)
- No, thank you (suppresses all kinds of annoying messages)
- NoAccidentalStealing (prevents looting "steal" containers if not crouching / pressing a hotkey button)
- Pet Dismiss (assign a key to quickly unsummon your pet)
- Potion Maker (so you don't have to memorize alchemy ingredient effects)
- RaidNotifier (shows hints and warnings about mechanics in raids)
- Rare Fish Tracker (shows a window with the rare fish you're missing in your current zone, ordered by type)
- Scootworks Combat (among other things, colors the compass red when in combat)
- SkyShards
- Srendarr (this is what a buff tracker should look like, unlike the recently added vanilla one)
- SuperStar (overview/import/export of full character build)
- Thurisaz Guild Info
- Untaunted (keeps track of mobs have had taunt/ele drain/etc applied to)
- Votan's Fish Fillet (process stacks of fish without having to wear out your INTERACT key)
- Votan's Fisherman (keeps track of fishing holes and types of fish)
- Votan's Improved Quests (quest list in map window with filters/types/categories)
- Votan's Keybinder (make selected key assignments account wide)
- Votan's Mini Map (one of several available minimap addons, for me a must-have)
- What Pledges at my Alts (calendar/list of undaunted pledges / DLC world bosses / raid rewards per character)
- Wykkyd Toolbar (all the important game info in a small font bar)

I need to say that I tried to delete my addons. BUT THE GAME IS UNPLAYABLE without them.
Have you guys tried to make writs without the add ons? (craftsotre, alchemy and lazy writ) ITS INSANELY. Whoever designed ESO UI should be fired and never work on the industry ever again.
Is Miats also just "quality of life"? Not at all...it's cheating imo!
You didn't answer the question.
Is better inventory filters a cheat?
Is a research timer a cheat?
Is a horse timer a cheat?
Miats is definitely an advantage over those who don't use it, no debate there (and it sounds like they are going to change it), but don't use it as a deflection for the simple question of whether addons offer QoL or not.
If ZoS offered you a toggle to see all morphs before you morphed a skill, you wouldn't use it? Because they do offer it...on PC in the form of an addon.
