PVP or PVE? For PVP I'd say go for the Domihaus. The extra stamina is extremely valuable and more useful than weapon damage.

For PVE, the spell damage allows you to not need to sacrifice a jewelry enchant for spell damage or add even more spell damage by enchanting the jewelry. But, the extra stamina has its uses in PVE as well. Especially on a MagDK that mostly requires non-ranged combat.

Domihaus is almost too good as a 1 piece.

Do ever deplete your stamina? If not then the choice is basically + max Mag vs + spell Dmg. and people can debate it but I prefer max mag. to help with sustain. Also If you are running out of stamina for some reason then the Domihouse is definitely

In terms of damage, what you get from the Spell Damage and from the Max Magicka is comparable. They're pretty close.

In terms of defense, Domihaus wins handily. Your shields scale off of magicka, not spell damage, so Domihaus will mean bigger shields. Stamina is useful in PvE, too. Some mechanics require you to block, dodge roll, or break free. vHoF, in particular, is littered with CCs that drain a player's stamina pool.
