I switched away from the game for a few minutes and when I came back, I found myself killed by a player in the middle of Mournhold. I have duel invites disabled.
What is this crap? Can't you do anything about hackers/cheaters??

radiospam✭✭✭There is a bug right now if you get the mark of the worm debuff before the end of a Battleground and you exit the arena at the end, you keep the debuff. Unless you just end up in battleground matches that end right as you get this a lot. Which is possible given how suddenly they end at times. And if you are like me, you load into battle grounds from highly populated areas like Mournhold. It's not like it actually does anything detrimental. PVP kills cost nothing for armor repairs. And you can revive at a wayshrine for free. For the most part, I cannot see this being an issue anywhere but in towns, and it seems like it would be nearly impossible to target specific players with this repeatedly.
Harmless bug, not an exploit. And definitely not something worth banning others over.8 -

✭This isn’t a cheat but it is an exploit and Zo$ has a history of punishing people who use exploits, even if it is unintentional.
I remember Fengush brought up this point about the ambush exploit that allowed players to leap onto keeps. He mentioned a few guys in Cryolag didn’t know it was an exploit but rather thought it was an actual mechanic. Zo$ suspended these players.
I would not be surprised if Zo$ did the same here. Hope they don’t punish Gilliam but wouldn’t be surprised to see suspensions tossed around because of this exploit.

✭✭✭✭✭The difference between the Ambush exploit and this is that the Ambush exploit actually had the ability to impact gameplay and effect keep takes. This glitch is meaningless (there are no stakes) and is going to happen to a lot of people who have a battleground end in an in-opportune time.
And again, I wouldn't characterize this as a cheat or an exploit. An exploit is taking advantage of problem in the game to gain an advantage. Teleporting into a keep is an advantage. Accidentally killing players in a town does not gain any advantage and is essentially harmless.2 -

If the player repeatedly takes steps that are not normal steps to trigger this then it's not unintentional and therefore worthy of a ban.
It can only be done to AFK players or fools since all one has to do is leave the dueling area and it ends.
Of course it takes a real stud muffin to glitch out AFK and kill them because they are to lame to handle combat in BGs and Cyrodiil. Generally the type that would do this isn't very good at actual game play.
