I got a nice response from ZOS and they must of done something because I begin seeing him again with another number at the end of his tag. So one gets banned they just create new account and are back at it daily in almost every zone.
We'll never entirely stop spam like this but the more of us who fight it and promote why buying gold is bad the less money they make and less viable this game is for them.
Speaking of which. You can do things to interfere and annoy the botters. A well placed interactable momento will cause the runner to interact with it rather than picking up loot.
I was offered a payout in gold to leave them alone.
No thanks, scum bag. Report, momento, report.

Is this more appropriate for the forums? The thread needs context but I blackened out all sensitive details.

So I put 1g in, they exit the trade and ask/put a price in. I’ll say okay they open the trade window and I put 1g in again. The most I been able to do this to one gold seller was 5 times before they run off to the next player.

@ZOS_GinaBruno maybe can I give you a suggestion? I believe the problem wont go away until you make the account creation:
a) behind a paywall of about $5 per account created
b) the person trying to create a account should provide his/her real name, address and credit card account so you or a third party software can validate if the person is a living one, lives in the pointed address and do not have problems with his/her credit account (is not stolen or frozen). Also, this will be a good way to identify people who goes against the TOS repeteadly (because of botting, gold selling, scams and other reasons).

On PC, by the looks of it, unless that guy is just trolling then I have to take off my hat for trying to at least make the profile look legit.

Not that we don't get the qzmfol999614 type names on PC, but gold sellers do have to look more legit, because guilds keep booting them. The suspicious names are easy to know to check their sales, it's the 10 accounts with "legit" sounding names that my guild booted this week that are harder to catch. Still not difficult to catch but requires a bit more work from an officer.
Same names. The game's reporting system is beyond a joke.
Edit:
I don't even get an e-mail acknowledging my report and ticket number. I used to, but I guess their support system is buggy and broken too.

@CiliPadi Make sure you are selecting a subcategory when you report the bot.
You can also use my Bot Scanner (in my signature) to report bots easily on PC.
