They also been running up to me in game then asking for a trade. When the trade window opens they put a bunch of scraps in. So I put 1g in, they exit the trade and ask/put a price in. I’ll say okay they open the trade window and I put 1g in again. The most I been able to do this to one gold seller was 5 times before they run off to the next player.

I'm more interested in his name. On PS4 we get bots with names that look like the guy behind them had a stroke of sorts (hhhhhgffgf). On PC, by the looks of it, unless that guy is just trolling then I have to take off my hat for trying to at least make the profile look legit.

It might be easier to steal accounts on the PC servers, or this one just got lucky. Pretty sure a gold seller is not taking the time to do anything thoughtfully.

Seen the same chats on Xbox eu, some with real GT's others with HHHhhfffg etc

Annoying you can't report from chat, writing a name down, going off to log a ticket makes it an effort.

Problem is enough people use their services to make it worth while for them.

Reporting them does not do a thing. I have seen them spam in zone chat for weeks now.

these ppl running around for 1-2 months now,spamming chat,blocking them has no effect
cause they come up with another name while block list has only 100 entries and then starts resetting

No need to steal accounts on a PS4, you can easily create as many accounts you like for free and login into TESO.

If it is someone messing about they chose something stupid to do it with. However yes, it's normally safer to censor any names in public images and send ZOS uncensored versions.

Hmm... if you don't want to be punished for certain behaviours, then don't "act" like it?

If you're at a bot flooded dolmen and do that whole "rapid fire heavy attacks" thing on your own, you shouldn't be surprised if you get under the wheels (being reported) too.

On the other hand I understand that some people might want to defend this kind of behaviour, especially if they profit from it.

1-2 months.? im on xbox na and ive been seeing this kinda thing for like years now. gold sellers bots all of it. we used to compete with who could buy ingame mats en mass first in the morning while they were really abundant in craglorn. they sold them housing mats dirt cheap when it first dropped xD

I reported a seller using this same site on PS4 he had a number at the end of his tag.
I got a nice response from ZOS and they must of done something because I begin seeing him again with another number at the end of his tag. So one gets banned they just create new account and are back at it daily in almost every zone.

At least you're making their job harder and it shows ZOS are active in making bans.

We'll never entirely stop spam like this but the more of us who fight it and promote why buying gold is bad the less money they make and less viable this game is for them.

It's highly likely (and recently confirmed as such by ZOS) that accounts are closed down and then new accounts used to run bots in the same locations and probably with the same or very similar character names. A developer can only put obstacles in the path of gold sellers etc, but the only way of moving them on permanently is for the demand to end, and that means players not buying gold.

I simply said name shaming is against the Forum rules, you cannot argue that.

I understand it was probably a bot, but who is able to determine that? If you break the rules for some then what's the point of having the rules at all?

I am in no way supporting Bots at all. My comment is simply referring to the Forum rules. That is all.

Speaking of which. You can do things to interfere and annoy the botters. A well placed interactable momento will cause the runner to interact with it rather than picking up loot.

in australia those websites can now be banned as their primary purpose is to violate the terms of a product and steal peoples personal information. Easy to get an isp ban via a court. and when they change their domain name, its even easier to get the ban to follow it.

Judging from all the stories across every platform Zos really needs to asign some in game mods to specifically deal with these issues. Too many and too much going on for them to address it themselves.
