The chat must have a log, the chatter going off should therefore be searchable. Therefore a good series of search strings will identify those in breach of the terms. A system to auto ban should be easy to do from that. A simple set of rules to cut down any issues, such as eso+ member, membership length etc... Sure they may ban the odd innocent but give the 3 free crates for the trouble. It is not likely that a gold farmer would challenge the ban, they would just set up a new account and move on.

The issue is not the sellers! If there was no one buying they would not be here. So there must be plenty of people buying from them? The player base is keeping them here!

We'll never entirely stop spam like this but the more of us who fight it and promote why buying gold is bad the less money they make and less viable this game is for them.

Speaking of which. You can do things to interfere and annoy the botters. A well placed interactable momento will cause the runner to interact with it rather than picking up loot.

The Botters at Ancestor's Landing in Alik'r that I reported like, over a week ago were still there going strong. So I decided to cheer up their night. Dancing and Jubilee Cakes all around! No one else in Zone chat wanted to join though.

And honestly I was hoping one of them would offer me a bribe to leave them alone. I wasn't going to stop annoying them of course, I just really needed some quick and easy Gold.

just report the bots zos stacks all there names up and ban them all at one time they don't single ban bots. they will ban them usually on updates

They are still spamming xbox eu, in every zone. Nothing has changed at all.

Hopefully they can sort it out soon because I don't think it'll be good for the health of the game

I agree, the problem needs to be addressed, but dentifying the sellers can’t be an easy task. Essentially, the accounts used to advertise in zone chat are disposable, and with small changes, the text is essentially random. Yes, the IP address can be banned, but wouldn’t they just use a VPN? I’m on Xbox. Not sure how bad it is on other platforms.

Ive been meeting many botters in action that dont tell me they bot, but i see them. Caught many, stopped reporting any. Found out what the whole random person trying to trade you stacks of anything is all about. Not saying because ZOS does not really care. All you can do is enjoy the game best you can and get stuff for cheap from these bastarda who are not delt with. Oh well, lets move on
