I have been questing in Rivenspire for the last few days.
Holy jeesus !!!
I am pretty sure the devs/desginers who did the lore, quest,ambience, music.... must have really put their hearts and souls into that zone.
That was one hell of an experience and I am very much impressed.
@Devs/Desginers : YOU ARE THE BEST
PS: I am still not done with that zone..so no spoilers mates

✭I don't like Rivenspire at all, it's not really my thing, I prefer warm places like the Gold Coast, Alik'r, south Bangkorai, these are awesome and i always visit them very gladly.
It seems to me all the areas are very well done though, it's just a matter of preference, personal taste.

✭✭✭✭✭It is a nice zone, with lots of atmosphere, and you can clearly tell they put a lot of work into to make it completely different from the adjacent zones. Very bleak and spooky, which is what was intended. The only mistake that they made is that it looks like it has been months since it rained there, but every time I go there, it is raining. ✭✭✭✭Rivenspire was very well done. Nice build up of main line, nice intergration of (most) side quests.
I remember taking a sneak peak up there as a level 16ish (well before CP and scaling) and getting the crap kicked out of me by harpies.
You say that as if it's a bad thingIt's sure more "Vampiry" than the other zones with Vampire stories.
Just because you don't like the way something is doesn't necessarily make it wrong...

Probably has checkbox on Customer Service profile that say High Aggro, 99% immunity to BS2 -

✭✭✭✭✭Rivenspire is definitely my very favorite zone. I LOVE Rivenspire as a zone. But have been unimpressed with the Breton houses there. They just look like the taverns to me. I want a manor home that isn't a copy/pasta of the same flippin castle they use in Daggerfall, Wayrest, Ravenwatch, and a few other places in DC. They do something on the order of Linchal there only in Breton style and I will shell out real money for it. C'mon ZOS, I'm waiting for my Rivenspire dream house!PAWS (Positively Against Wrip-off Stuff) - Say No to Crown Crates!4 -

Sweetpea704✭✭✭✭I totally agree. The Rivenspire storyline and the Wilderking storyline are my two favorite in the game. You really care about the characters. Overall, the music, in this game, is the best music of any game I ever played. I can't believe that so many of my friends literally just turn the music off. (How do you know the bad guys are coming?)2

So let the snow flakes and unicorns dance alone until they melt or vanish from existence, we will finish up with those smart enough to stay in the glowing circle of love.

Argah✭✭✭✭Rivenspire is my home, it’s city has great bank and crafting locations in terms of closeness to wayshrine and when I queue for dungeons get on my horse and head to the public dungeon, also my fave in game to pass some time.
Only downside is that loading screen if you head south from city wayshrine towards the grocer building but apart from that, love the place.3 -

Rivenspire's one of my favorite zones, I love being up near Northpoint. Added bonus because that's a great farming location.5 -

It's the best zone/questline in all of ESO.

It's just one semi-circle. Tbh, it's a nice Rocky scene with spooky town to the southwest and gets more farmland-looking to the southeast and a nice coastal town to the north.

✭✭To be honest the only MMORPG "world building" that is better than ESO's is, in my opinion (and taking into account the age of the game engine involved), Lord Of The Rings Online.
But I guess both games have the same benefit: there's such a wealth of "lore" out there to build the game worlds from, and so many people who are passionate about those game-worlds, that it is easy to be inspired to go that extra mile that makes the difference between a "damned good" gameworld and a "bloody awesome" gameworld.
ESO and LOTRO both have the latter.
My "perfect dream" of an MMORPG would be Lord Of The Rings re-mastered using ESO software, combat and server tech.
And if a company were to do such a game setting with the deliberate, but un-frenzied pace that Zenimax have released content for ESO then I would imagine there would easily be 15+ years worth of amazing content for players to go at.
