Now and then it bugs me that NPC orc females are BAMFs and NPC orc males are almost uniformly whiny and dumb, but whatever. There are exaggerated traits in a lot of the NPC races that just seem like lazy world-building.

The tail distracts me. I mean, it's hilarious... but definitely cuts into the attention I might pay to things that are trying to kill me. Or not walking off cliffs in Glenumbra.
Also, I'm not enjoying the Argonian population surge in Cyrodiil much, which doesn't encourage me to play one myself.

Argonians have never done anything or real note? During the Oblivion Crisis the daedric Invaders had to close the Oblivion gates in the Black Marsh just to keep them from attacking Oblivion. I don't even really like Argonians but you have to admit that is pretty bad***
And if you read up on things, they were only ever able to do that because the hist saw it coming and fed them up on steroids and tree magic.
I mean the feat itself is certainly badass, but the argonians themselves can't really take any credit for it.
Apart from that all they have ever done is run and hide in their swamp, and then invade a country striken by natural disaster.
Garbage tier race tbh.
But the hist pretty much is equivalent of the Argonians race. Without the hist there are no Argonians, and each Argonians is an extension of the Hist. Martin Septim had to mantle Akatosh to stop the crisis in Cyrodiil, the Hist invading the Invaders lands is more impressive imo.
I very much beg to differ.
Sure the hist have some fancy achiements, but if you take that stand, then you have to accept that the Argonians themselves are just disposable slaves, to trees no less.
Looking over the lore, Argonians even get their souls from the hist. Without the trees they are nothing more than mindless lizards.Lord and Savior of the Association of Serious S***posters.
I play a character called "Gives Me Wood Elf" because I am a mature and sensible person.

I am unsure half the time whether its Australian or British, and I was born and raised in Tasmania, now living most of my adult life in the US. I couldn't get out of Grahtwood fast enough. Altmer have to come a close second though because they are downright snobby and seem to think they're the master race.0 -
