Lol. What’s so important that you really need another day? What we deserve, if we pay for the game, is a functioning game without insane lag, crashes and bugs that haven’t been fixed for years. Another day of a festival? No we don’t deserve that because it’s just the way it is.
He said its the 2x XP. Leveling alts or grinding CP must be his entire world right now..

Losing a whole day to maintenance? Is your day only 3-4 hours long? That is a good estimate for a maintenance/patch downtime. Isn't the maintenance in question a normal Monday patch/maintenance session? I'm sure that was counted in when the original dates for the Festival were determined.
If the servers were to go all wonky for a couple full days (as they sometimes have) then there might be some logic to extending the event.
My only concern on timing the event is introducing a new DLC before an annual event is even over. If anything should have been changed, it would perhaps be a two week delay before introducing the pending DLC.
My two Septims, anyway.
Emphasis mine.
I'm not voting either way on this one, but due to timezone differences and the fact that I work as a teacher and have a wife and 7-month old son... yes, my "play day" is only 3-4 hours long.
4:00AM EDT falls at 5:00PM my time... 3-4 hours means 5-8/9. You know what that is? That's my only time to play before I have to prep lessons/take the night-shift on looking after my son.
This is a loss of a day. Every time they do a maintenance, I lose a day. Gone.
Do I think that requires recompense? I doubt it. Not that it matters, I doubt ZOS would give it even if this poll turned out 100% in favour.

It's not just me I am arguing this for everyone, ironically the extra day would also benefit you but clearly you are so opposed to your own self interest that you aren't in favor of it.
Not my problem.
One day? It’s a few hours at best. The achievement takes a day to complete, two at best. 3-4 if you have to work all week. This is not even close to being worthy of an extension.

The fact we lose this day does mean that we deserve something for it, whether or not this fact is acknowledged by people.
The people that are so against our side of the argument are just not personally affected by it, so it is very easy for them to not care and also to simultaneously hold disdain for our point of view.
