Losing a whole day to maintenance? Is your day only 3-4 hours long? That is a good estimate for a maintenance/patch downtime. Isn't the maintenance in question a normal Monday patch/maintenance session? I'm sure that was counted in when the original dates for the Festival were determined.
If the servers were to go all wonky for a couple full days (as they sometimes have) then there might be some logic to extending the event.
My only concern on timing the event is introducing a new DLC before an annual event is even over. If anything should have been changed, it would perhaps be a two week delay before introducing the pending DLC.
My two Septims, anyway.

Emphasis mine.
I'm not voting either way on this one, but due to timezone differences and the fact that I work as a teacher and have a wife and 7-month old son... yes, my "play day" is only 3-4 hours long.
4:00AM EDT falls at 5:00PM my time... 3-4 hours means 5-8/9. You know what that is? That's my only time to play before I have to prep lessons/take the night-shift on looking after my son.
This is a loss of a day. Every time they do a maintenance, I lose a day. Gone.
Do I think that requires recompense? I doubt it. Not that it matters, I doubt ZOS would give it even if this poll turned out 100% in favour.
Last year toward the end most people were thinking the event couldn't end fast enough. My guess is most people will be done with the event long before it actually ends. I'm playing just like I always do during this event. Not going out of my way to try for plunder skulls and already have just about everything the event offers.

It's "a few hours" if you're in the EU timezone. In AU/NZ maintenance happens right at prime playing time. For me that's 7pm, and I'm very unlikely to be able to login afterwards because it's then bedtime. Coupled with the fact I have to work all day, every day, yeah, that's an event day I'm going to be missing.

Yes, biased poll is biased.

There's more than just skulls to the event, maybe you have heard of a little something called double XP which the event also gives, I'll trust you're aware of that.
Many of us are much more concerned with that.
the event is 11 days having to spend 4 hours or so on maintenance isn't going to kill the event

Thanks for this poll and thread. It was good for a chuckle.

not enough many would argue

How long is enough? Why don't you quantify this for us?
Most people finish the event in a day or less, and the double xp is meh, can even be obtained easily with in-game items.
Lol. What’s so important that you really need another day? What we deserve, if we pay for the game, is a functioning game without insane lag, crashes and bugs that haven’t been fixed for years. Another day of a festival? No we don’t deserve that because it’s just the way it is.
