Someone can answer me what are the reasons zos don't give us a token to change class?
My main toom is a dk... and with the direction that game is going I'm pretty about to quit instead of playing another character.... I've spent so much time in it that I don't want to trow it away when they turn my class into Garbage....
The main reason they don't offer class tokens is because it would bring the game too close to the Pay-to-win border. People with money would change their characters to the Flavor-of-the-Month class on a whim, and would be able to keep up with the meta much easier than a person who couldn't or wouldn't buy tokens.
They don't offer alliance tokens for a similar reason. People would use tokens to change alliances midway through a campaign and flock to the winning side. PvP is already unbalanced enough.
That being said, I think they could at least do alliance tokens, with a caveat. You could buy the token, but you can't use it on a character in an active campaign - only after the campaign is ended. Seems fair to me.

And why not a cooldown, maybe like one or three months?
And would show them that they are doing something wrong with the game if all people are running the same class...
But I think that it's about to happen since every player has at least one sorc to pve and a character of choice to PvP....
They choose not to take easy avenues to generate massive amounts of profit, via crown sales, that this particular option would produce. Exactly the same reason as the alliance change token. Another clear display of superior intellect that this development company exhibits, so complex and complicated that simple folk like me and you will never be able to comprehend the true meanings of.

Even though I have 12 toons, with 11 at max level. I wouldn't was a class change token. It would make it too easy for wealthier players to switch to the new FOTM builds.

People talk like they think that all Bethesda and ZOS have on their minds is profit, and I doubt that is the case. I still think that, buried deep down, they still have a conscience and want to make and sell games. Sort of like Darth Vader, there is still good in them.
Yes, they have many monetization plans in the works, and yes they have some pretty nasty ones, like Crown Crates. However, they are constantly nerfing their revenue potential. I think that this is because there is still good in them.
Of course, good often takes a back seat to greed. My feeling is that as long as what they are doing is making money, they can allow a few coins to remain on the table. If things start getting grim, you will feel them foraging for coins in your pockets while you sleep.
In this case, I think they simply don't want to offer Class changes and make them part of the game. (Edit: at least, not now)

indeed true. there is no reason not to allow us to do so. we can swich race or appearance, then why not also class or alliance?

Stop (whining) and spend a measly 4 hours power (leveling) 1-50 a new class.
You do know that when you hit level 50 you automatically get all the CP you've earned on your main, right?
Do you even Fantasy, sib?You see.... changing your sex, bone structure, face, length, all other physical features and race is a no brainer in this game. However something as casual and simple as re-educating your character to a new class (i.e. with a 3-6 month class change cooldown per character) is impossible and clearly complicated and lore breaking somehow. Go figure.

...that actually would be a neat way to add class change.TheShadowScout wrote: »in D&D
Speaking of D&D...DDO (Dungeons & Dragons Online) has reincarnation, where you keep a class skill and/or race skill and re-level into something else...it has propped up the over 11 yr old game and still provides life for it. Maybe something similar...a new skill line "Past Life"...
...as I kept saying, the levels are easy enough, even for a casual player. Other stuff takes a bit more effort... or often luck in case of crafting motivs.xskinzcity wrote: »I have 12 max level characters with all passives. I mostly PvP but managed to level all of them. Some of y'all just lazy af.
