Its been quite a while - over a year in fact, on an "ESO Live" installment if I remember correctly, or in some comment during the forum discussions after it... I -think- I recall it having been in early 2016... but I doubt I could track down the original source. I do remember that it was a statement on the sidelines, concerning more change tokens in wake of the announcement of namechange & racechange... they said they were still thinking about alliance change, but did not intend to ever make class change available.rafaelcsmaia wrote: »TheShadowScout wrote: »for now, its not even on their minds last we heard...
Do you happen to have the source for that? I ask cuz I never found it and last time I asked i almost got crucified lmao
I strongly believe that such solution would help bring more players into the game, generates some cash and with the limits will not have the potential negative effects. ZOS, please!

i dont get how you can think this token would bring new players to the game. hey look guys, that eso game that we didnt want to play, you can change class if you PAY MONEY. we should play it!
vote no to tokens!
Either this or account wide achievements needs to happen, the people who request this are probably NOT lazy players that can't be bothered to lvl another toon to 50. They are probably players who:
- Only play 1 character and are tired of how ZOS constantly changes core aspects of their class or leaves some of their skills/mechanics bugged for months.
- Play more than 1 character but have one ''main'', who probably has all the motifs/recipes/achievements/research,etc and they don't want all that time and effort gone to waste by playing another character.
A class change in this case would be appreciated by them, and I don't see how it would suddenly be P2W. People who chase the FOTM probably have all classes in both stam and mag versions lvled up anyway. Leveling up to 50 is not the problem here, the problem is all the other stuff that comes after.
If for example a player only plays a magsorc and has been playing it for years because he likes all the lightning/shock related stuff, and then suddenly ZOS decides to change every lightning related stuff from sorc to something else or if they really like pets and ZOS decides to scrap pets and replace them with another mechanic, would you tell that player to just suck it up and accept the changes/reroll an alt? He would probably quit the game if the class he played for years suddenly ends up being like nothing it was when he started.(there is precedent of this when ZOS changed some of the DK morphs from fire to poison for example)
However with class change or account wide achievements he MIGHT end up trying another class in the PTS and like the way it plays now and end up not quitting because he will not lose all the progress he has made over the years.
Someone can answer me what are the reasons zos don't give us a token to change class?
My main toom is a dk... and with the direction that game is going I'm pretty about to quit instead of playing another character.... I've spent so much time in it that I don't want to trow it away when they turn my class into Garbage....

The main reason they don't offer class tokens is because it would bring the game too close to the Pay-to-win border. People with money would change their characters to the Flavor-of-the-Month class on a whim, and would be able to keep up with the meta much easier than a person who couldn't or wouldn't buy tokens.
They don't offer alliance tokens for a similar reason. People would use tokens to change alliances midway through a campaign and flock to the winning side. PvP is already unbalanced enough.
That being said, I think they could at least do alliance tokens, with a caveat. You could buy the token, but you can't use it on a character in an active campaign - only after the campaign is ended. Seems fair to me.

Makes more sense tbh, but this i think would be much harder than coding another plugin on the change race token to enable the class change too, while resetting skill points.
Also lots of people would complain about lvl 37 flawless conquerors or dromathra destroyers lol

So not only you goggled meta to copy someones build, you'll be able to always change class not only not working you own *** but also not working lvl it?I mean come on, deserve your things a little bit.

Very insightful, now tell me what am I supposed to do after more than one of my builds got nerfed to oblivion? Make another character? What about my 24k achievement points? Emperor? Flawless conqueror? One may say this is what keep the game going, I call bull ***
