And why does everyone say it's bad?

The Min Maxers and those focused on max DPS don't like the Wardens.

However, when I duo killed the Daedroth World Boss in Stormhaven on my L14 Warden with an L9 Scrub who was hanging around and helping out, it showed me the Warden is a viable PvE character outside of Vet Dungeons and Trials. And, it may not be too bad for those, it all depends. Probably best as Healers in those places.

But you have to play them to the Class, and that means using the Heals to Survive and the Ranged Attacks to chip away at the mobs. So, a Warden can be fun character to play, but your not going to get invited to every party with them. They are not a YOLO wade in and spam damage skills type of character.

Personally, it would be the last Class I would roll.

Why do ppl say it's the best burst damage then?

Because they can time multiple abilities to hit at the same time and birds cannot be dodged. That's good in PvP but irrelevant in end game PvE.

Yes, the shalks work somewhat like the curse. I'd say the sorc still has the stronger burst, but warden has stronger heals. Sorc relies on surge and maybe healing ward from backbar. But Sorcerer still can put down competitive DPS in PvE. Warden doesn't. The class needs serious work. The instant/delayed cast abilities are fine, but the DoTs and some passives are too weak IMO. Most DPS in PvE is DoT.

Use that double xp to grind CP!!

Levelling 1-50 is easy by comparison, don't need double xp for that!! :)

You can also use all cp at level 1

First, you have to define useless as it applies to this game and the player base.

For some, useless means, well, useless as in it has no applicable function or the skill is broke. For others it can mean the class can only do 97% of the theoretical maximum DPS. And, for some, it can mean, I play a certain way and if I cant force the class or build to work the way I want it do, then its useless to me.

So, you have know what Useless means in the context is was stated.

Now, in the fight I was talking about earlier, I was in no way using any of the burst capabilities of the class. Just some damage and heals.

Grind the CPs because all characters can use these, it makes everything easier. Also, if you do start a Warden later, it'll still level faster because of your extra CPs (low level characters + high CPs = easy mode).

At 450 CP additional ones don't really make much difference. For example stat boosts are capped at 20% once you spend 100 CP in each constellation. At CP300 you are about at 80% maximum strength. At 450 somewhere around 90-95%. I've seen players beat vMoL HM with 400 CP. That's why I said grinding CP past 160 is a waste of time.

    The choice is yours, really.

Personally, I'm not going to play my main account during the event (already over CP cap for the next few years) and will focus on bringing the lowbie characters on my second account (only 200 CP there) to level 50. This way, they will be able to equip the gear I got saved up, and any drops they get while questing won't necessarily be decon fodder. But I'm an altoholic: most people don't need over 20 characters :^)

I've got all the training traited armor made for a few levels between 20-44, and ready to launch the warden at full speed. I imagine the moment he hits 50 I'll focus on levelling the best weapon skills while gaining CP at the same time, kill two birds with one stone.

It sounds to me that you would like to make a stamina warden. I would recommend going for Redguard, Bosmer, Imperial or Orc as your race. Redguard is the best for pvp though. If you need some good stamina warden pvp builds you could check out Kodi's youtube channel as he has some of the best stamina warden builds. Not sure about being a werewolf though, but you could probably make your build first then slightly change it to a werewolf play style.

For the burst damage I generally use subterranean assault(shalks), followed by dizzying swing and dawnbreaker of smiting. Its really good burst but tough to use and i'm still new to the class and learning.

Thanks for advice I'm in a difficult situation rn I only have 4 character slots and I won't but more but I have one of every class besides warden and I really want to try out a burst WW build but now I'm being told WW is pointless with warden so now I don't know what to do @Electrone_Magnus

Grind dark anchors on a new character, win win. Loot and easy exp just tag everything you can best idea is to equip your warden with a bow and light attack everything that comes down.
