i have a breton templar (mainly) healer but my damage is more than good enough
i have a Dark Elf dd templar - my dark flare in PvP is NASTY
i also have an argonian templar (on NA i usually play EU) and the sustain is AWESOME, the healing is great, the self healing is INSANE and the damage is more than good enough
a high elf will give you good recovery, and increease any elemental damage you do, which is only relevant to a handfull of your skills, the majority of them are magic based

argonian because gives health and give some max magicka while its not higher than the altmer max magicka, it has this ((Whenever you drink a potion you restore 4620 Health, Magicka, and Stamina))

Don't mind me though, I role with the Imperial stamina train with a first class ticket.
High elves are jerks, argonians are cute

Makes it so that people that want to debuff your healing will have to do so with an active Major Defile skill and not just disease glyphs or skills. Of course this also makes to so that people can't put the poisoned DoT on you as well, not even the 100% chance one from the snipe morph.
The combo of Max HP and Max Magicka as well as healing done and received makes them very flexible and add to their survival skills. And as many have said that potion passive is really really good for sustain.
