So I want to make a magicka templar for PVP ( not because it's meta, but bc it's the only class I have yet to make) and I can't decide between high elf or argonian for my race. Please explain your choice. All help is greatly appreciated!

i have a breton templar (mainly) healer but my damage is more than good enough

i have a Dark Elf dd templar - my dark flare in PvP is NASTY

i also have an argonian templar (on NA i usually play EU) and the sustain is AWESOME, the healing is great, the self healing is INSANE and the damage is more than good enough

a high elf will give you good recovery, and increease any elemental damage you do, which is only relevant to a handfull of your skills, the majority of them are magic based

Dunmer. We excel in everything, from the Wizard-Lords of the glorious House Telvanni to the muscular Redoran brutes to the dexterous and wily Morag Tong assassins. Surely there is some path resembling your so-called "Templar class" within our intricate society. House Telvanni will always be open to aspiring healers, and the Tribunal Temple will answer your religious calling. Some of your holy knights wield spears of light, and these are clearly inspired by VEHK's MUATRA, although some still claim Divine inspiration. Whatever the case, the Dunmer people are one of complexity and limitless opportunity.
    With cold regards,

depends what kind of PvP you do, whats your play style,

for a DD dark elf stands out imho inferno bk bar with destro ult, dual weild or s&b front, skoria & 2 full 5 piece sets

for a good all rounder argonian or breton

for a pure healer argonian, breton or high elf.

For recovery the potion passive is better than the recovery one. Also the disease resistance helps against healing debuffs.

Anyone using an inferno staff. I'll admit, I'm not an expert on Templars, but, IIRC, they do deal flame damage with some of their abilities (the Dawn's Wrath tree, I think), so you can get some millage out of a Dunmer Templar.

Though, my money's still on a Breton for PvP.

    High elf (Altmer)
Please don't get me started..... OK never mind lol. I have always said high elf. 2+ yrs I have made 4 high elf healers. Never had I made a Lizard before. Including a healer.

Until now, 5 days past of this message. I just gave in and try and see for myself, if Lizards are better at healing or not. I have to see if I need to retire my High Elf Healer.

Or do I make her into a dps later on. I'm at level 16 max cp, in PvP. My Lizard, I still don't see any difference of yet. But in my heart and mind, High Elf would be better at healing, especially in long hard fights.

I'm all 5 light now, for my Lizard. But once I reach lvl 50 and max cp. I will switch to 5 heavy, just like my High Elf PvP Healer. However, both Lizard potions and High Elf Destro staff are both useless to me.

I don't need them, I don't want em and I will not test em. But good chance I will cut my research short, unless I Remade him on other side. In conclusion I still have a high belief, that High Elf is way better healer than Lizard. I will continue to do so, until I fully tested against my Lizard.

You created a poll for a Templar magicka build and you didn't include Breton or Dunmer as options? Alright, Dark Elves look ugly as **** and Bretons can't be taken seriously due to their goofy looks, but they're decent picks too.

Don't mind me though, I role with the Imperial stamina train with a first class ticket.

Edit: Happy now @JerzeeDevil ? lol

Tenesi Faryon of Telvanni - Dunmer Sorceress who deliberately sought sacrifice into Cold Harbor to rescue her beloved.
Hisa Ni Caemaire - Altmer Sorceress, member of the Order Draconis and Adept of the House of Dibella.
Broken Branch Toothmaul - goblin (for my goblin characters, I use either orsimer or bosmer templates) Templar, member of the Order Draconis and persistently unskilled pickpocket
Mol gro Durga - Orsimer Socerer/Battlemage who died the first time when the Nibenay Valley chapterhouse of the Order Draconis was destroyed, then went back to Cold Harbor to rescue his second/partner who was still captive. He overestimated his resistance to the hopelessness of Oblivion, about to give up, and looked up to see the golden glow of atherius surrounding a beautiful young woman who extended her hand to him and said "I can help you". He carried Fianna Kingsley out of Cold Harbor on his shoulder. He carried Alvard Stower under one arm. He also irritated the Prophet who had intended the portal for only Mol and Lyris.

Order Draconis - well c'mon there has to be some explanation for all those dragon tattoos.

I think one big thing the argonians have in PvP that most forget is that they are immune to diseased and poisoned secondary effects. Makes it so that people that want to debuff your healing will have to do so with an active Major Defile skill and not just disease glyphs or skills. Of course this also makes to so that people can't put the poisoned DoT on you as well, not even the 100% chance one from the snipe morph.

The combo of Max HP and Max Magicka as well as healing done and received makes them very flexible and add to their survival skills. And as many have said that potion passive is really really good for sustain.

Immune to poison and disease? No way. Actually I find their poison/disease resistance to be laughably weak when you compare it to what Bretons and Dunmer get, or the fact that historically they are immune or near it. (Then again so are Redguards with poison, and Bosmer).

All that being said I love the lizardfolk and I definitely think Argonians are a great race in general.
