Imperials. Oblivion was my first TES game. Went with Imperials after reading Cyrodil was their capital country. Loved them ever since. LOVE the fact that the imperial armor is VERY reminiscent of Roman armor. (and that Spartan helm). Big fan of the Empire (except during the events of Skyrim, disagree with the religous persecution) and being a huge fan of samurai stuff, all the blades stuff gets me excited.
Original character for Skyrim was a Nord for the same reasons. They're easily my second favorite. But then made an imperial vampire for my second Skyrim run, just in time for dawnguard. So he was a pretty sweet vampire lord.
Dunmer get so much love. I'm assuming that comes from everyones time playing TESIII. Unfortunately I never got to play Morrowind. Hoping one day it will be remastered or something.
my favorites are khajiit and altmer since I first started to play TES. I don't even know why, I just really like them. I also like imperials because of the empire from TES4 and argonians because idk
I have been a dark elf fancier since... well... pretty much since reading my first fantasy novel featuring dark elves, really.
So I jumped right on the dark elf train when I discovered TES-II:Daggerfall... and when the rich Dunmer culture and history was established in TES-III:Morrowind, well... I loved them all on their own! And have ever since,m no TES game went by where I did not play a dark elf... only with ESO did I make minor alts of other races, for completion sake. Though I have to admit, my Orsimer alt grew on me and was eventually promoted to "third main"...

Why do so many like Dunmer so much? In my opinion the Tribunal is a bunch of false gods and their culture is horrible... Although I don't like any of the elf races.
Dark Elf - slavery, false gods, daedric worshippers
Wood Elf - cannibals... nuff said
High Elf - Thalmor, arrogant, better off extinct
Rhaegar Gregorson, The Ebonheart Centurion - Imperial Dragonknight RABIDxWOLVERINE - Xbox One, NA, Ebonheart Pact
Mer are treacherous beast, arrogant in their behavior. They are corrupted to the soul. They betray their own kin as well as Gods. Some eat each other, others greedily drown their pitiful reality in mind altering substances. Of course their own kind would quickly take advantage of these lost souls.
Men, men are weak its because of men we are in this mess with the realms of Oblivion because of man, their fragile egos. Contently needing to strive to become Gods. Constantly trying to prove something to the Mer.
No, why do we need any of this? The one real race, chosen by true immortal living Gods. We live peacefully with our environment, we serve our Gods honorably. If we had our way we'd be left alone and leave each to their own. Men and Mer have to drag us into their battles.
Bosmer. Definitely Bosmer. Some of their lore sucks but of all the known races they are ny favourites.
They are definitely the most adorable.
Skinning and eating their fallen dead and enemies, making their armor out of the bones and organs of their enemies is not very adorable, lol. They are the most vicious race by far. They just happen to be small.
I guess mine was the altmer, but Zenimax turned them into boring generic high elves who are afraid of conjuration. Is it possible to change my vote to redguard? At least they're remotely interesting. Or maybe dunmer or bosmer? They're the only races Zenimax allows to be unique anymore.

No one is saying there aren't multiple interpretations of the lore, and we're not arguing that ESO did it "wrong".
We're arguing that they decided to go for the most boring, mundane, seen-before interpretation possible. Like they almost always do, unless they can ride on the coat-tails of past games.
This game was originally invented with its pantheon of gods and demons. A unique spiritual world. A special reality. And in this game, there are older races and younger races.
This is the script of the game.
Altmer - one of the oldest older races. Arguing logically, they are the main ones.
The tree has roots and a top. This is the law of life.
Personally, I prefer Nords, and it will always be so, but it's a TES. ))
All my magicka classes are Breton because Breton master race.
Difficulty scaling is desperately needed. 9 years. 6 paid expansions. 25 DLCs. 41 game changing updates including A Realm Reborn-tier overhaul of the game including a permanent CP160 gear cap and ridiculous power creep thereafter. I'm sick and tired of hearing about Cadwell Silver&Gold as a "you think you do but you don't"-tier deflection to any criticism regarding the lack of overland difficulty in the game.
