i got bunch of consumables, 1 face tattoo, 2 body tattooes and 1 colovian badger.

i am not impressed, mostly junks.
i want motifs and a chance for house deed.

I love that they give you free crates to show you just how crappy the RnG is so you dont have to waste your money.

In my 3 crates I got mask with a hood and beast jaw, a costume that looks like crafted gear. and a tattoo ill never use.
The rest all garbage that only got me 12 gems so cant even buy anything I want. Total waste.

Seeing how bad the RnG is really helps me feel no temptation whatsoever to buy more.

I got the Black Bear mount, Jaqspur costume, AD Scout costume and then various junk.

Not bad for free crates. I will still will never buy them.

If the only way to purchase an item is through RNG crates, it's a total non-starter for me.

For those who like gambling on these things you should at least know the odds, which ZoS won't provide. So here are the drop rates as collected by Faunters addon:

I received one rather plain costume I'll likely never wear, one body tattoo that doesn't show with any of the costumes or gear I usually wear and one crow memento that is fun but far too short duration to be worth using much (it needs to maintain the pose to be worthwhile). And then heaps of consumables that add up to a whooping 12 gems if extracted.

Free is free and RNG is RNG of course. But if this is meant to entice me to buy further crates, it failed massively.

Just shows how differently people can see the crates. I would have been happy with that haul for three crates. I love costumes, would have thought the mask was cool, and maybe would have used the tattoo. It just depends on what people want out of the crates, I guess.

It's not for everyone. It's just a trigger for those with an addict mindset. It's literally like that episode of South Park where the freemium game keeps pestering Stan and finally just gives him free game currency so he picks it up again and spends more money.

One in my guild got 3 mounts in his 14 free cards. I wanted to smash something when I opened my crates that contained 2 body markings, 1 crow memento and the usual Potion trash.

I never complain about RNG because well, it works properly every single time.

What I do complain about is biased loot tables.

RNG is what it is but the loot tables suck.

I guess I'll do at least one round of crates when they arrive as I will have enough gems at the end to buy the item I want.

ZOS, you want me to do more? then publish the loot table so I can make an informed decision on whether to gamble or not.

Those crate only apex beasties.... not going to blind gamble on those, only fools blindly gamble.

Im always so shocked to here the complaining on mount rng . Im in it for the costumes and you can always buy costumes with crown gems.

Eso puts out 5 mounts a month how many mounts do you need?

This is my first event of this kind, the free crates, but it was more than enough to see that I must never look longingly at that Crown Crates section in my Options. Really, thanks for that. ESO Plus membership is enough for me.

Junk - a couple of tattoos and a memento that I used once to look at and will probably never use again.

At least the loot was worth the price that I paid for the crates.
