Who is more evil, The Prophet or Mannimarco?

I choose The Prophet because he's full of sack.
The Prophet:
- Responsible for a chain of events that got god knows how many killed.
- Does not insist on being the SOLE sacrifice. I mean, he could have, but he chooses not to.
- Yells "FREEDOM!" when he swaps place with Lyris. Creepy.
- All he does is open portals, never (ok nearly never) risking exposure to direct harm.
Mannimarco:
- Also responsible for a chain of events that got a whole bunch of people killed
- Endeavors to be a new god, probably an evil one, by betraying a god and people
- Tortures Sai for god knows how long
- Pretty much a straight up antagonist.
The Prophet:

And even if it was a poll about responsibility, Mannimarco clearly manipulated the young man the Prophet once was into believing he was the heir to the Ruby Throne.

I'm pretty sure it was left to me to choose him... he was playing Russian roulette with other people's lives, bringing them in when it was his responsibility to make amends and nobody else's.
Also, while Mannimarco was evil, it would have been for nothing if the Prophet hadn't been so venal in his own desires, and hence so easy to manipulate. He wanted power and glory, he caused untold horror.
They are both to blame, and it will be up to little old me to fix it all...0 -

Both did what they did out of a desire to obtain power from a god. (Varen was done overthrowing the Longhouse Emperors by then; he didn't need the Dragonfires for that.) The major difference is that Varen had no desire to cause harm and realized his folly. He sought to correct his mistakes in the aftermath of the Soulburst. Mannimarco on the other hand actually orchestrated the Planemeld. He is cruel and devalues the lives around him, feeding them to the actual Daedric Prince of Brutality to further his goals for power. There's no comparison. Mannimarco is evil; Varen was a doofus who wised up.3 -

Pffft.
But that does raise a good point. I think the only thing separating the Vestige from anyone else is that they got imbued with Aetherial qualities when they absorbed that first skyshard in Coldharbour. ✭✭✭OtherObviously Mannimarco is the evil one. But that is if you get to know him and he tells you all his evil desires and intentions. Other than that he looks like high elf royalty.
The Prophet on the other hand is very benevolent but his appearance gets him in trouble. So people look at him and think he is shady and evil. For example, the Prophet walking down the street alone looking as he does would worry parents around the neighborhood. They would call the police and the police would find the Prophet and have a talk with him. They would tell him that people see him, his cloak over his head, looking like he hasn't showered in a while, and ultimately they would tell him it would be best he go somewhere else and to make sure he stay a good distance away from any of the elementary and high schools.Edited by Publius_Scipio on September 26, 2017 7:52PM1 -
